Lewis and Nico playing paper aeroplanes while the engineer explains aerodynamics to the non technical.

Why dont they think of changing the wheel design and going forsomething cool. Like a dashboard and a helmet button thing where they can think and it will happen.

If a car became thought powered, Maldonado would cause so many more incidents!

So the car will determine when it needs to stop and pee? I like that idea very much as I no longer have to take the blame when my wife has to go and I want to drive another 50 miles. Leave it up to the car to decide.

In the universe where i like drastic car change instead of 0.1 second aerodynamic design

A whole 10th? that's crazy talk, a 100th of a second is more likely!

Why doesnt an F1 team research a whole new car design and go from there and the sport will enter a new era.

That's the problem, they can't anymore, there are so many restrictions and limited testing the teams just can't do what they used to. It's a shame, I don't care if a team is a mile ahead of everyone else, if their car has some fancy innovative stuff on it, that's the point of F1, to engineer the future.

It's very rare that we'll get any inventions on a modern F1 car that would trickle down to road cars, which is why they are bringing in the new engines, but I hope they lift the technical limitations and let the engineers go wild.

Thats sad. But even withthe restrictions... could they still not design something inovative.

Put it this way if I were to go to you and say:

"Here's £4M now make me a new phone, but it needs to run on this exact version of this old outdated OS, be this exact size, shape, weight, have 2 buttons, touch screen and be able to run exactly these features and no more."

You wouldn't have much in the way of leeway to innovate.
