Why do Lewis Hamilton fans (with some exceptions) feel the need to big up Lewis Hamilton while putting down Jenson Button? The simple fact is that each driver has their own strengths and weaknesses and have the capability to beat each other on any given day. Jenson could have been ahead in points, Monaco and Spa being the two examples of retirements that were not of his making. Over the course of the season they were fairly evenly matched and given different circumstances, points tally could be different!

Jenson's big let down this year was his poor quali performances, if he had qualified better, who knows what would have happened in the race!

All sorts of excuses were made for Schumacher for being in a car that didn't suit him and he had no development say in. The same applied to Jenson and not once did he bring that up.

I think Button/Hamilton is the best driver pairing on the grid and that's a big factor in winning WCC titles.

Could we lock this thread for a while? I don't think I can stomach the entire off season of arguing and having Lewis will destroy Jenson being shouted, I like evidence to accompany my discussions, not just posters in their own little world trying to inflict it on the rest of us.
