How funny is it listening to Jos Verstappen and Russell Atkins bag Schumacher?
Question: How many races did Verstappen and Atkins win between them?
Answer: NONE

Schumachers move on Rubens wasn't as bad as people are making out... Schumacher left Rubens enough room...Just!
Schumacher left Ruben a cars width and that is all he should leave him.

Maybe if Rubens was a little more aggressive throughout his career he would of won more than 11 races.

Verstappen and Atkins both say that Schumacher should retire.

I have 1 question for everyone.

Who is more likely to win another race or championship, Schumacher or Barrichello?

I will give you my answer: SCHUMACHER

You're a blind MS sheep and we have no need for you here.

A bit harsh :D

Enough room? Have you seen the photo? The white line indicates where the track ends. On any other track past the white line there may have been grass in which case this incident would probably have had a horrific outcome.

Schumacher's philosophy has often appeared to be that "If you want to overtake me then you'll have to go off the track to do it." It was the proximity of the wall and the approaching pit lane exit which made this particular manoeuvre so horrific.

It may also be a sign that Michael's reaction times are slowing down. If he'd made the move a fraction of a second earlier I doubt that Rubens would have considered that there was enough of a gap to attempt the pass.

But who knows? I'm not a racing driver and have never been in such a situation. I also do not have the personal investment obvious in the relationship between these two drivers. Maybe Rubens would have gone for it anyway.

Schumacher has apologised to Barrichello by text! Well, sort of apologised.

“There are two reasons I sent him a text; one of the main ones is that this is his 300th Grand Prix and we have quite a history together - I thought it was appropriate to congratulate him.

“Plus (I wanted to) clarify the point because he felt I wanted to push him against the wall and that was not my intention; I wanted to race very tightly, without any contact, but if he felt that was the case then I’m sorry for that.”

I suppose in these days of dumping by text, firing by text, 'apologising' by text is nothing new.

Compared to Russell Atkins at Crash.Net, Yalla F1 is about 13 months behind the times:

Schumacher a sad shadow of his former self

May 10 (GMM) Michael Schumacher’s statement, after the Turkish GP, that he is getting “no joy” out of his Formula 1 career coupled to a lacklustre afternoon in Istanbul has captured headlines normally not reserved for drivers who finish 12th in a race

“The big joy is not there right now, except some action, that’s about it,” the 42-year-old German told television reporters after his fraught race in Turkey.

He added later, “Obviously I am not very happy with my weekend, but I’m responsible myself for the result.”

Italian newspaper Repubblica reported, “Schumacher was being overtaken on all sides and ruining the others’ races”.

Corriere della Sport said Istanbul was “painful”, “It hurts to see Schumacher in this state”.

Even Germany’s Bild said the Mercedes GP driver is, “No longer the giant that dominated. He is a sad shadow of his former self. This is not our Schumi”.

BBC commentator and Schumacher’s former Benetton teammate Martin Brundle admitted that the German’s performance in Turkey was “uncomfortable to watch”.

“I think any dreams of a fairytale comeback are over,” he added.

Agreed another former Schumacher rival David Coulthard, “He must be asking himself questions. You can’t hold back the clock.”

Wrote the Italian magazine Autosprint, “The question many experts are asking is how long Schumacher will have the motivation to deal with a generation of drivers who could be his sons.”

Another of Schumacher’s former Benetton teammates, Johnny Herbert, wrote in his column in The National that he senses the seven times world champion will make a decision shortly, “His dream was to win again but it has not turned out that way and I would be surprised if he chose to continue.”

It's about time he leaves F1, and give his place to, let's say, Kobayashi!

Blah blah blah.

Also this topic is from last season and if anyone actually watched Sundays race, without blinders :irked: , they would know that it was NOT MS who did the punting.

Michael's pushing of Barrichello was plain bad, and dangerous. As stated, the white line defines the track boundary.
Rubens was there alongside, and Michael squeezed him out. Lucky that part of track was paved....

We have seen others overtake on the grass (Alonso and Webber spring to mind), but they consciously put there cars there when they wasn't enough asphalt, there IS a difference.

I felt Ruben's was very gentleman like going past Schuey. He could've "used all the track" and run him onto the grass, or give him a 'love tap' , but credit to him, he's better than that.

And if watched Sunday's race, I recall Schuey pushing a bad situation, and trying to punt Petrov, as he went past, but karma took care of that. After that boo boo, he was obviously chastened, and with confidence dented, every man and his dog dive-bombed him on entry to Turn 12. I loved it went Koba went down the inside, then Sutil steamed in, and pushed him out also. It was gutsy, hard, but high skilled, and fair wheel to wheel racing, as it should be.....
