what about Sly Stallone he looked fast in Driven?
You mean Joe Tanto?
its gonna be tough to attract american sponsors to the team with teh idea of "all american" since the drivers are not american yet.. the problem is that FIA doesnt recognize any american motorsports at the momment. so the only choice right now is to pull people with current f1 experience or other series outside the US.

The smart thing to do would be to get the likes of Sebastian Bourdais in the team. Folks with American name recognition who can handle an F1 car and easily get a Superlicense. But then, the real reason they've abandoned the all-American lineup is they haven't got any sponsors and so they have to sell out their ideals to preserve the team. At least it gives them a platform to carry out their aims in the future. Doesn't look good mind.
I think Anderson and Windsor want to make a real "respectable" run at F1, but seem so ill-prepaired.. even with some of the good sources they have. It's especially surprising since they started first.

Actually they do have sponsors, YouTube and Best Buy have both been linked with the team since very early on and both are huge international companies and will no doubt provide substantial financial backing. Windsor said they went with non-American drivers because he was concerned that he would not be able to get American drivers a super license in time which eliminated a lot of good options. This is not to say that I approve of hiring a pay driver, but I think some people have the misconception that the team was riding on the money being brought in by Lopez. If you have to choose to hire one of a bunch of mediocre/lesser known drivers that are all about the same skill level and have similar racing experience, wouldn't you choose the one that could bring in 8 million and the backing and support of an entire country? Time has been their problem, not money. As for Bourdais, I have no idea why they didn't go in that direction, seems like he would have been a great choice. It's possible he was not interested in returning to Formula 1, after what he went through I can hardly blame him. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the LeMans series, I think his performance last year at the 24 hours showed just how good a driver he really is.I think Anderson and Windsor want to make a real "respectable" run at F1, but seem so ill-prepaired.. even with some of the good sources they have. It's especially surprising since they started first.
How do you figure? Lotus and Campos both had teams and facilities already in place before they ever announced that they were interested in starting an F1 team. Lotus was Litespeed which was formed by directors who have over 25 years of race experience at all levels up to and including Formula One and Formula Three, Campos has raced in F3 and GP2 and Manor has a long history with Formula Renault and F3. USF1 started completely from scratch, no employees, no facilities, nothing at all to build off of. Yes they were the first team to announce their intentions to enter in the 2010 season, but to say that they started first simply isn't true.

Um...-Glances at the USF! Website-
Nope...Nothing here about YouTube or Best Buy. I suggest if you're going to have a go at me for bashing them, you stop dealing in rumour and conjecture. YouTube's founder is an investor in the team, YouTube is not a sponsor.
They were supposed to test this week or next week in home sweet Alabama?
