The only thing I don't get is why they haven't considered Ferrari if Mercedes could supply four teams surely Ferrari could as well maybe they are afraid of Red Bull just like McLaren.

If Toyota dropped out surely Sauber would take their place?

There are some issues over Qadbak and their interests. They are a group of investors, some of them already have stakes in existing F1 teams and the like. I get the impression that they will need to assure the relevant parties that there will be no conflict of interest involved.

as for USGP, I have had doubts from the start. Nothing I've heard so far has weakened these doubts. It just seems to be a bit of a tall order to be running the team from where they intend to, with the staff they intend to use in the timeframe they have set themselves.

I think Toyota will still be about for at least another season... but anyway, Trulli looks like a very strong candidate for Lotus with Mike Gascoyne there, i'd actually be surprised if he didn't go. I reckon Manor will sign at least one British driver too, I've also heard Di Grassi mentioned a lot for them.

Rumoured drivers looking a drive for next year

De La Rosa - very likely will be confirmed for Campos
Rumoured for Manor - Di Grassi, Adam Carroll, Davidson
Rumoured for USF1 - Wurz, Alexander Rossi
Rumoured for Lotus - Neel Jani, Fariuz Fauzy, Sato

Both Neel Jani and Karun Chandock, have apparently done some miles in the McLaren simulator for Force India. Karun being Indian, and Jani being of Indian descent.

Apparently, Malaysian Fariuz Fauzy has been promised at least a test role.

25. Parente

Alvaro Parente? Woah, i think you may have been the first person to mention him on this board ever, in any way shape or from, so congrats for that! :P Why do you think an F1 team would give him a seat?

He's won a race in Gp2 but there are surely better/more proven drivers about...

Is anybody going to be dumb enough to tempt Ralf out of retirement?

The main reason for him being there is because I want a Portuguese driver in the grid :D. He's shown a lot more promise than Monteiro, winning British F3 and Renault World Series, and he did well in his test with the Renault F1. He was said to be in talks with Manor about a month ago, I somehow doubt the portuguese press is liable but I'll keep my hopes up until they announce their drivers ^^
