I'm glad to hear Massa is doing ok :)

LOL at the end of the qualifying session - "what time did you get?", "who's on pole?", "are you on pole? Or is it me?", "what's going on?" *shrug*.
I especially loved Button's muffled "f***ing hell" to Alonso from inside his helmet and Brundle's rushed apology :hehe:

Alonso on pole! I wasn't expecting that. Glad to see Vettel seems to have scraped into 2nd :)

Anyone could win this race as it's not a power circuit; so anyone in the top 8 grid slots could win given the right strategy. Should be an interesting one and I won't be able to watch it as I will be off camping in a few hours, just my luck!!! But it'll have to be one hell of a strategy to win from eighth for Brawn and Button, but Ross is a strategy master!

Bernie will have had steam coming out of his ears when the timing went down, and he'll be having some stern words with Siemens. :hehe:

Doh! Forgot about that!

I liked the old TAG Heure/Olivetti system, just for the novelty. :P

Looking at tomorrow all is not lost for Alonso. If he can lead out of the first corner and then sprint for a few laps he can still have a chance to score good points tomorrow. A safety car could also play into his hands.

Surely the Red Bulls will battle for the victory?

They can. Remember that if they succeed on the start, they will have a shot. And Alonso is extremely light, so by the time Vettel or Webber goes to pits, they may score some decent time on Fernando. Plus remember that Renault is not one of the fastest this year.

Safety car could help him, without it I can see him getting caught up with the backmarkers after an early first stop.

Agreed. If there is any man on the grid to pull something like that off though. It's Alonso.
