I guess he doesn't want to give anyone a chance to show him as a liar again, how political!:hehe:

One of the BBC guys commented on it... and yeah, surely it'd be easier just to say a flat out 'no' to those questions? Just... odd!

Well this crap thats going on must make you political. Do i say what I think? Do I say what Im supposed to say? Do I say what I want to say?
Doesnt matter either way, people will hate him if they want to hate him whatever he says. And they will support him if they want to support him whatever he says. He should stop trying to please people cos he wont. You know the saying!!! You can please some of the people etc etc...

Twas a facetious remark.

But yeah, it's the same with everyone everywhere, some people won't ever give credit to the same person other people won't accept a bad word against.

I must say, having seen Hamilton's reaction to being asked about Dennis leaving was really strange, sure he has probably been asked that question hundreds of times this weekend, but he seemed very awkward and uncomfortable rather than annoyed at being asked... odd.

It was odd.

Indeed, Just as odd was his non-answer to the "Are you thinking of leaving?" question. He seems to not be heading that way, but he refuses to give a straight "No"...Keeping his options open in case he decides later to start considering other options?

Stop trying to please the people? I give up, what is Hamilton doing or has ever done for that matter that has the intent of pleasing the people? He is out for himself and thinks only of himself. Nothing wrong with that, but don't make him sound like he is some sort of misunderstood saint who is giving far too much of his time to starving Eskimos stranded on a floating ice shelf by global warming. He isn't out saving the world to his own detriment...in fact he never does a thing that isn't in his best interest.

Now you've really lost the plot!

Oh hell, I'm sorry. Explain it for me then please. You said this:

He should stop trying to please people cos he wont

And I thought you meant that he should stop trying to please people because he wont be able too....and I asked when exactly Hamilton has ever tried to please anyone buy himself.

Where did I lose the plot?

Where did I lose the plot?

Somewhere in the arctic with the eskimos. (actually they're Innuits, Eskimo is not politically correct)

Cute. Nice sidestep too. I don't blame you for dodging that one though...really no way to show Hamilton isn't strictly self motivated. Lets just call your statement that he should stop trying to please people a typo then.

Actually, no. Innuits are only one group of the larger Eskimo peoples.

Not sure your right about that but not sure enough to argue. I did the arctic with my kids couple of years back and read about it then. Books at school

I assure you, if you called the Yupik people "Innuit", that would be incorrect. The collective term for the three groups is "Eskimo"

It is amusing to me to watch you guys turn tiny comments about barely related subjects into massive arguments like this.

Heres a definition I found

A member of a people inhabiting the Arctic (northern Canada or Greenland or Alaska or eastern Siberia); the Algonquians called them Eskimo ('eaters of raw flesh') but they call themselves the Inuit ('the people')
- Esquimau, Inuit, Innuit

I remember now. They dont like the term Eskimo because of what it means.

Just found Yupiks now as well

Yes, because helping people with oft mis-used nomenclature is exactly the same as childishly using every opportunity Alonso is mentioned to criticise his 07 Season.
