Yeah its nice to see Renault back again, bring Benetton back baby :hehe::hehe:

:yikes:

Well, Renault are not French, and nor are they Italian. They're a British team in disguise. Chalk up another four titles for the most successful Formula One nation. :hehe:

The greatest nation in F1 is ITALY. Britain cant make a full car on their own. Williams was powered by Remault and Honda in their successive years. McLaren is really Kiwi and also powered in its successes by mainly Honda and Mercedes. No British there. Benetton was really Italian but based in England and that too was powered by a French engine and although you clain Renault (the team) which is that old Benetton team based in England, it's Engine is French and a true Renault. So what is British. Those Ford engines that won a few championships. Maybe but Ford is an American company so you wish. :hehe: Ferrari is all Italian. Even if their drivers and personell are not all Italian. But then again all F1 teams are "International" so who cares. And this statement isn't biased because it came from me. Remember where I was born and my cultural hertiage before you pounce on me. :D

Rubbish - don't you remember the years that Cosworth powered British cars destroyed Ferrari ?

Yes but they were FORD-COSWORTH. Ford is an American owned company. Once again not a full British engine. :D

Listen Buddy, I am not the one who started this. Blame the one who said Alonso was evil. He knows who he is...........

And I don't think Lewis Hamilton is anything special. He has a good car. If Alonso had his McLaren, he to would be on pole for the Chinese GP. And in case you haven't noticed, this is more than anti-McLaren here. It is Anti-Lewis Hamilton. Last season I could stand Alosno at McLaren, but Lewis Hamilton. Need I say more................

So what, like last year? When Hamilton pretty much matched Alonso? And was slightly better on some occasions? Don't get me wrong, I don't like Hamilton's personality much, but he IS undeniably quick. Then again, I didn't think much of Alonso's personality last year either. Or most of the drivers in the field for that matter - with the exception of Webber and Vettel.

So yeah, why can't everyone just appreciate the fact that he is quick and leave it there. Id does seem like he cant do right from wrong. Whenever he beats anybody - he gets slammed completely.

Made in Britain by a British Company, by British Engineers. I think that's pretty much British.

So what it is still a Ford. Ford is American. American is great when it comes cars. Britain are not because they get parts from all over the world. :hehe:

Ford only badged the engine - they had nothing to do with the building of it. It was all done by Cosworth.

It doesn't matter. It is still a Ford. I am a Ford fan as well and I consider it a Ford. And I also consider Ford American because that is what it is. Sure some Fords are Australian like the Falcon and some are British like the Sierra, and some German like the Focus and some Japanese like the Cougar (Based on Mazda MX6). But in every Ford there is always some American. So once again those F1 engines are not full British. A full British car is something like an Aston Martin. But they are not in F1.

We are talking Formula 1 here, the cars were designed and built in Britain - great teams such as Lotus, Tyrrell - chassists like March etc, it was nothing to do with the Ford Gt or the Ford Focus or the shitty Ford Kas!
It was a time which still has relevance today - where British teams and drivers absolutely wooped Ferrari.
In all honesty if Hamilton wasn't such a w***er id want him to be Champion - because I wanted Hill and Coulthard when they had their chances.

You Brits always defending everything. Tell me, when are the Brits ever going to make an F1 team that can be considered an ALL BRITISH car. This means no associations with American Ford. No engine suppliers that come from countries like Germany, Japan and France. When are they going to do this? Ferrari in all its entirety is Italian. Your just biased. Because you are from Britain you'll say they are the best. But the reality is they are not the best in F1. My views are not biased because as far as Ferrari and its nationality are concerned, I am a neutral party. :D

Why should a British team have to build something that you'd consider all-British? The formula they have at the moment has worked quite well for a long time. Williams and Renault, Williams and BMW, McLaren and Honda, McLaren and Mercedes, Jordan and Mugen-Honda etc. They were/are all good partnerships. The fact that there are no longer any British companies building Formula 1 engines makes conforming to this idea that you have even more difficult, and the costs that would be required to set one up are simply too high in the current financial climate.

That is fair enough, but why then claim Britain is the best at F1 (All time) when it isn't true? British teams have won a lot simply because of the help of non British companies, (Like the ones you have mentioned) so they are not the best in F1 as a nation.

I never claimed that Britain was the best in F1, nor will I ever. But there is nothing at all wrong with a British team having a supply of engines from a manufacturer that hails from another country. You're trying to make out like it's a crime or an imprefection that should be wiped out, and it is quite simply not so.

:banghead: The very conception of how F1 evolved with Aerodynamics etc, was all because of the innovation of great engineers who alot were British. And F1 is a team sport, working with other companies on parts of the car such as the brakes the engine, gearbox etc etc is all part of a team game.

And I never claimed Britain was the best at anything either - you just assumed that I did
