Positive personal changes?
I cut down on eating roasted babies with mustard. But that's happening more out of necessity: they're getting harder and harder to come by for my personal enjoyment and in some parts of the country, it's being frowned upon...

lmao, im also partial to a roasted baby, but no mustard for me

Well I went to get my physical done today and they could not pass me because my daym blood pressure is still to high, 178/114 :( . Man I have been eating right, close to an even 200lb's now, and have been keeping my stress low and personaly things are going great. On a very positive note I found that my old family doctor is still in business, I have not seen her since '91  so I had all my test faxed over to her and will see her on tuesday and get my blood pressure medicine. Once I get it I will monitor my pressure for two weeks and if it gets back or close to normal, I only need a 140/90 to pass, I will go back to finish my physical, wish me luck :wavey: .

Passed my physical with flying colors today, BP down to 135/79  !! One last test next week and I'll be ready for school. More good news is I have two job interviews tomorrow and one next week, the one next week is with a local police dept :) .

Wish me luck,
tex

Do you guys have your own traffic section in the police force across there or is it just a case of a normal police officer grabbing a speed gun and heading out for the day? what im saying is over here the police have dedicated traffic policemen, if i was ever to become a cop this would probably be the perfect job for me

sitting in a parked car drinking coffee and eating donuts FTW :D

Most dept's have seperate divisions ie traffic enforcement, homicide, detectives etc etc. The perception of police being donut freaks was nothing more than an idea instilled by television although I do see alot of officer's who could use another tour of physical training. If sitting in a parking lot drinking coffee and eating donuts is your passion you should be a taxi driver and not a LEO.

The dept I will be talking to is a very very small dept, a city within a city so to speak. I do not know anything other than they may be a very helpful force for me while attending school. If I can attend LEO school during the day and then work for them in the evenings I think it would be a huge advantage as I would be getting first hand on the job training that could be very beneficial to my school work and future.

Couldent handle being a taxi driver though, especially at weekends, I think i would have more people (drunk ones) laid out than dropped off lol :hehe:

So it has been a 'Long and Winding Road' and I start school next Monday and the anticipation is almost too much to bare, thank's for all the support everyone. This next Monday will be orientation day and I will get fitted for my uniform etc etc and then the real work begin's which I'm looking forward to.

I would like to send out a special thank you to Amanda as your pic inside my locker will be very motivating! :cloud9:
Nah I'm just kidding and wanted to have a laugh with you all.

Updates to follow,
