I would love it if the first woman F1 driver was brave enough to pick 69. That would be be a real 2 fingers up to the establishment :hehe:

The same establishment that would be chuckling and winking if Kimi or some other wag had picked the number, to be shocked by a woman picking it would indeed be luike 2 fingers stuck up at them :hehe:

So basically, his Karting number. I'm pretty sure Lewis didn't pick 44 based on a dial code of a country he no longer lives in, or the 44th president...

He picked it because it's the total of all his F1 car numbers to date. He said so on twitter.

That's kinda silly because it immediately is outdated.

Either way it's not because of the Oklahoma East Interstate, and it's funny that Merc didn't actually put up the real reason for this; if this was any other team we'd be speculating on this tiny fact.

Maybe he doesn't really care about it since he always wants "1" on his car so just added up some numbers and gave in the submission.

How much sillier is Kimi's "I chose 7 because didn't really see any reason to change from last year"....oh no that one was hilarious ha ha ha Kimi the Jester strikes again.

I reckon that was a ruse, he won the championship in '07.

The drivers picked a number and then Mercs marketing team created a nice graphic with number association

It doesn't mean those are the reasons just that they have interesting associations

It isn't immediately outdated, it will always be the sum of his f1 car numbers until 44, which he will now keep. So it stays in date always.

"Today" it's up to date; but, I'm assuming you're expecting him to win "another" race, no?
