EJ's pretty good with predictions, but this would be VERY interesting and unexpected, if it were to occur.

Alonso and Vettel swapping is ridiculous, their both in 2 contracts, Vettel just renewed his too.

Paul to Ferrari is a bit more interesting, I think their gonna take Bianchi but I would love to see Paul going there. Then again Paul has a closer connection to Merc (DTM/FI engines) than Ferrari.

Riccardo to Redbull is obviously going to happen anyway.

I think Kimi to Redbull is more likely, Horner has been shouting about Alonso to weaken Kimi's hand.

I don't think Bianchi will be going to Ferrari next season, as Marussia are about to take up Ferrari engines... I would also be disappointed to see Paul di Resta at Ferrari when Nico Hülkenberg is by far the better choice.

It's a shame, Nico's move to Sauber has (to a degree) dropped him from the radar this season.

I love how contracts are meaningless in the sport. So they'll buy India out of their remaining two years because Bernie's greed to have them on the calendar without fully realizing that if they build it they wouldn't come. So it's embarrassing to hold a premier global sport event in a venue that's only 1/3 filled. Cut the pretense, it's why Turkey was droped, it's why Korea is next.

We're a race short this year already, so NJ has a spot. In order to fit Russia one venue has to be cut, that being India. Korea is next, that being the other albatross on the calendar giving Bernie room to get a French GP in or The Austrian GP, whichever gives him more money.

There is a lot of logic there
Vettel goes to Ferrari to do what Alonso couldnt, and like Lewis prove himself in not the best car (and get the fat pay cheque)
Alonso goes to RBR and sells horrid fizzy drinks in the Latin world
Riccardo is cheap and promising
Paul is a grateful Massa type and already has the Italian name

and, as an 'oink' sound passes at 5,000 ft, Mclaren produce a winning car

I find myself frustrated at the moment, looking at the calibre of the drivers currently available to F1 teams. On the sidelines we have:

Jaime Alguersuari
Heikki Kovalainen
Kamui Kobayashi
Timo Glock

All of these would be a great addition to some teams, yet we have drivers like Chilton, Pic, van der Garde and Gutiérrez* currently racing (I could also say Maldonado, but at least he has the occasional moment), and very nearly had Razia but for his sponsorship failure (thankfully); next year we're looking at Sirotkin coming in with very little experience and no real achievements. Meanwhile, despite their good results, I don't expect to see the likes of James Calado, Jon Lancaster, Mitch Evans, Aano Vainio, Tio Ellinas or Conor Daly make it to F1 in the coming years. Nasr might, especially if he beats the waste of space Coletti to the title this year, but I worry that even that would be with the likes of Caterham or Marussia. I think the three with the biggest chance, at the moment, are Kevin Magnussen (due to the McLaren backing) and the Red Bull juniors António Félix da Costa and Carlos Sainz Jr. and of those, I only think Magnussen (who is really good) really deserves that.

* I think Gutiérrez is ultimately good enough for F1, but was promoted too early and this was mainly a result of the sponsorship money that he brings. He and Calado were my two to watch in GP2 last year, and I think Calado has benefited more from another season there than Gutiérrez has from struggling with Sauber this year.

Who knows, maybe I'm just a bit harsh on these youngsters, but it certainly seems to me that the future does not look good for young talent in single-seater racing. Well, unless Formula E really takes off, in which case they might stand a chance...

And the musical chair theme continues! :hehe:

I don't know if Kimi can do better in a Ferrari...this isn't the same Ferrari under the Todt/Brawn era. Lotus shows some good promise and a team which is a LOT more accommodating, especially when that psycho called Montezemolo isn't there. Can't see Kimi moving back to a team which practically kicked him out with a fat paycheck.
