I am now rooting for Sauber to find 9 points out of somewhere during the race and overhaul Perez in the championship standings. What a joke it would be, for him to leave F1.

Erm...?

Yeah sorry, I meant Kobayashi. I either had just woken up, or I was drunk and really sleepy....

Let's face it though, Suzuka aside, Kamui's year hasn't been spectacular!

Did you forget that he started Spa on the FIRST row and was one of the multiple Grosjean casualties? There is nothing separating his performance at Sauber this year from Perez other than more bad luck. He's not the qualifier Perez is, but he's he's much better at moving up the field.

They're actually fairly even in qualifying (9 - 10 in Pérez's favour). Pérez has finished higher more in the races they've both completed (3 - 5), and has an overall +/- of 66 compared to 25, excluding any retirements (if you remove Monaco for Pérez, which is a bit of an anomaly as he didn't even set a time in Q so started from the back, that's still 54 positions gained overall). Pérez has more podiums and points, but Kobayashi has finished in the points on more occasions and has also had one less retirement.

Cars powered with Ferrari engine (especially Ferrari team itself) always had a great mechanical grip on the rain. I think it has to do with the weight distribution. Also, strategies will decide a lot on Sunday. Honestly, I hope to see fight for the win between Hamilton, Vettel and Alonso. Of course, I'm cheering for Vettel to win the title, but if 3 of them decide a race winner in a great and fair battle, I don't care who wins the race.

I'd be surprised if all if them survive the first corner. I have a feeling the usual crash suspects might have quite alot to do in tomorrows race :)

Yep. Both looking good. If that continues, I makes I very difficult for Alonso, he really has to best them, Seb doesn't,

Well, both McLaren drivers would prefer Alonso to win the championship... :hehe:

I reckon they have a very good chance of a 1-2 this weekend and I'm sure they'll both be eager to beat one another to go into winter with a good feeling. It would be very nice for Lewis to win his last race with McLaren. :)

Yes it would, but his luck hasn't been great this year :hehe: . He's not done much running this session, why d'you think that is? He's just stayed mostly in the garage.

Saving the engine? I don't think that would be too important. It might just be that he feels really comfortable with the long-run pace and is waiting for the qualifying simulations to start.

Yeah maybe just happy with the car. He's out now...........but not going so fast :(
