If Lewis heads to Merc, the spotlight will switch to the vacated seat at McLaren. After all, that'll be the seat at the front.:twisted::whip:

Err..yeah. May I remind you the only WDC McLaren has won in the last 13 (yes THIRTEEN) years was the one Lewis brought for them in 2008. And they weren't even the best Constructor that year. So...if he leaves, it'll be fun to see how far NoGrip and MrX gets them. I'd put more money on MrX though.

I believe McLaren want to have Lewis Hamilton in the team but not at his current salary; which is fair to be honest.

Its faır ıs ıt? Not at hıs current salary whıch ıs the same as Button! And lewıs ıs a tad annoyed perhaps!I wonder why. Come on!!

If I was an F1 driver for McLaren, I'd be thankful not only for my MASSIVE salary which, to me, is big enough to rule out any debate over its size in relation to other drivers' wages, but also for giving me a race-winning car, capable of tooting for the WDC.

Rosberg must be so fed up after his tedious years in mid-grid cars from Williams and Mercedes.

Again, expectations are all relative.

If McLaren rang me and asked me to pay them USD100 per race weekend to race for them, I'd be jumping up and down till my legs gave way. However, after winning a few races and maybe a WDC or so for them, they offered me the same contract upon renewal you can bet your bottom dollar that my reaction would not be the same as Day 1.

Rosberg deserves a chance in a decent car but he is reported as saying he is committed to Merc for next season and wants Schumacher to stay as he feels they make a good pairing and are both pushing the team forward.

Just checked and yes, you're right, Button and Hamilton are on the same salary, I stand corrected. But I still assume that Button will be offered less money when his contract comes up for renewal! McLaren seem to be looking to cut costs and that seems to be starting with the drivers salaries. Especially when there are very fast drivers out there on 500k to 1m Euro.

Lewis has to let his hair grow to do head and shoulders commercials.

Button sıgned a 3year deal last year ın the same commercıal clımate that they are now sayıng Lewıs has to take a cut ın. Unhappy Lewıs?Id say so.

Yes Lew. Id snap theır hand of for the salary theyre offerıng but Im not one of the top two F1 drıvers on the grıd.

IF McLaren have offered Lewis Hamilton less money, that's their prerogative and if Hamilton doesn't want to take a pay cut then his path is clear. The truth of the matter is that we don't have a clue about what is going on behind closed doors at McLaren or Mercedes, no-one is admitting anything, we are basing all this talk on Eddie Jordan's revelation!

And on Ron Dennıs sayıng Lewıs would have to take a pay cut.

To be honest, I think that is a bit of brinkmanship on the part of Ron Dennis, trying to negotiate the salary down, more than likely Lewis is asking for more money and McLaren don't want to pay it, it'll probably end up the same as his current wage, assuming negotiations continue... Hamilton says "I want 25% more", Dennis says "OK, I'll offer you 15% less".
