Interesting point raised by David Coulthard on BBC1. The way things stand, tomorrows result could be challenged by a team that feels they have been disadvantaged by the last minute rule changes.
These rule changes have been very messy and nothing short of a total shambles.
Your comment had nothing ......
Yes it did. The season has a long way to go. This is on a par with Briatore claiming that Ferrari should start on their 2012 car after the 1st race!
It is a fact that Button has managed to get a better result than Hamilton, nothing snidey at all, just a statement of fact. I think McLaren being damaged by the rule changes are maybe being slightly over emphasised. Not saying they have not but I think it is more to do with it being a last minute job. If you read what I wrote about Hamiltons fast lap it seemed that he just didn't hook up a good lap, either through lack of confidence in the car, poor set up or whatever. 5th is a lot better than 10th so yes it is ok. If Button gets a good start he'll probably split the Ferrari's. I would not rule out a podium for Button and I thin that Hamilton . If you look at what is ahead of Hamilton he should make up a few places pretty quickly.
It isn’t over yet and the fat lady hasn't even been given her music.
The rule change wasn't exactly applied to each team equally(the 50% crap)....
What's wrong in saying that mclaren should just focus on next year's car anyway? They're obviously out of the running, red bull has very dominant car, vettel has a big lead, and we're pretty much in the halfway point of the season....
The rule change is a joke but it is what it is. The sooner it is sorted out, the better for everyone.
Comments about teams giving up on a car after one poor showing always seems to me a bit of a knee jerk reaction to me. Let’s see what happens in the race first and then what happens for he next race, as I believe that the rules will be slightly different again for the rest of the season. The rules for the British GP seem to be a compromise before the next race, where I think they return to the Valencia spec’.
Exactly and like I said it is game over unless Vettel parks up for most of the season.
I’m not so sure. The Red Bull race pace is not the fastest and they are not too hot on the tyre calls at times. Their advantage has certainly been reduced. I'm goning to be bold and predict that Red Bull will not win this race. Ferrari are probably the best positioned for a win.
By the sounds of it, it seems that there will be better clarity of the rules for the German and Hungarian GP so I wouldn’t get too depressed just now, until this shambles is cleared up.
