I'm not going to be negative, but wow the Mclarens have fallen off the pace from the leaders. They just don't look to be in the same league (I know...they are 3rd best) compared to back at Spa. Lewis's interview after the race today was just total resignation.

I think he was a bit more emotional than normal (as he should be considering his championship hopes are dwindling away), but I think he will come back strong next race, specially with that F-Duct magic.

Yes that McLaren has been well off the pace and I reckon Lewis has put a brave face on it and pushed like hell. But he did look down today. He hadnt got he equipment to get in the fight, and I reckon he knows it's over.

I imagine next year everyone will have top notch F-ducts, so lets hope McLaren can improve the aero for high speed corners.

It's the low speed corners that are killing them, not the high speed ones?

Well I reckon its all the corners but I thought the high speed corners were the worst? (like turn 8 at Turkey)? BUt Im honestly no expert here so I bow to greater knowledge.

I think F-Duct was banned for next year.

By the sounds of Hamilton over the radio today it seemed to be them all although his sector times for S1 and S3 were always pretty good. He was just losing badly in S2 to the Ferrari's and Red Bull's.

Although on this topic of Lewis vs Jenson I must say, this year Jenson has taken it to Hamilton more than I ever thought he would. When he didn't take the drive with Mercedes and went to McLaren I was sure he was making a mistake and that McLaren were too! I thought McLaren were mad not to go for Kimi.

But Jenson has surprised time and time again and in a lot races kept Hamilton honest in ways that Kovalainen could only ever dream of. Fair play Jenson.

Also F-Ducts are banned for next year RC.

Oh, and I was delighted today when Jenson pitted before everybody else and jumped ahead the Hulkenberg train. Great call as he used us to :)

Ah, OK thanks for that. Agree with all your thoughts on Jens.

This is what I mean by wait until he end of the race, Jenson finished 1 place behind Lewis. Was going to leap frog him had Mclaren not been smart enough to pit Lewis early, also could have got Lewis had he stayed out when the safety car came out. Wondered why Mclaren pitted Jenson, I suspect that was to keep him behind Lewis.

I suspected that too since Lewis needed 4th to stay in the hunt but my McLaren bias stopped me from admitting it.

Damn! I've just admitted it. :irked:

One more point, I also noticed how Lewis moaned a fair bit in this race today, but a lot of people here ignored that despite criticising Jenson for moaning in Korea. Personally I think it was partially out of annoyance and almost justification for making a mistake to allow Alonso through (World champion racing drivers are arrogant) and general annoyance at just being so far behind the two title contenders. I don't think Mclaren can compete now, might as well get 1 race jump start on development for 2011 IMO.

5 days till next practice filled with traveling, so no point in trying to jump start development...
