* Red Bull knows this track where overtaking is impractical.

* Webber is behind Alonso after 1st lap.

* Vettel position is almost secure until end of race because they know this track where overtaking is impractical.

* But they will lose the driver’s title anyway if Alonso stays in his current position.

* So they decided to pit Webber since he also can’t claim the title in his current position.

* Ferrari afraid Webber will be faster with fresh tire n leapfrog Alonso so they call him to pit.

* This is what Red Bull wants. Alonso is stuck behind the already-pitted Rosberg and Petrov because they know this track, overtaking is impractical.

* Alonso can’t get his desired 4th position so the title goes to Vettel.

* Remember, they know this track where overtaking is impractical.

All of them knew that overtaking was impractical, specially Ferrari with Alonso in the fourth place and Webber in the middle of the traffic. They could wait as did vettel, hamilton and button, until they had the gap they needed to stop in front of Rosberg.

Could have, should have, would have... it's so much easier to see things the Monday after. So there is the thorn on your side, not that Schumacher risked his life to create an accident or Rosberg tried to interfere with Ferrari's qualifying. Ferrari F'd up, nothing more to say, no conspiracies to create.

Mothers only sold in Australia and NZ Azza! F1ea said Monster the one that sponsors Merc!

And I love Redbull I don't know why you oldies bag it :p

Ahhhhh I thought "Mother" was a typo :)
But yeah, I mean Monster... the black and green one that sponsor(ed) Brawn GP and Merc.

So RBull is all about being young? hehe That's what Webber keeps saying.....

Ok, Im gonna get this thread back on-topic. The championship wasnt stolen. Ferrari were tricked, but not only by Webbers early stop. Here are some of the factors that affected their decision to pit Alonso:

*Massa pits but doesnt jump webber
*Webber passes Alguersuari and is 0.8sec faster than Webber
*Ferrari call in Alonso, believing Vettel and Hamilton will pit because at this point they are also slow
*Vettel and Hamilton pass through the graining process and pick up speed*
Finally. In Brazil, McLaren had huge degredation, not so in Abu Dabi. So they stayed out against Ferrari's expectations.

So it wasnt only covering Webber that blew ferrari's strategy. They were misled by Vettel and Hamilton riding out the tyre graining.

The part in bold was the big surprise. Helped a bit by the early, unexpected (for Abu Dhabi) Safety Car.

so, basically... i think i mentioned in the "how to beat Alonso" or in the "Abu Dhabi GP" thread....... the mental/strategic advantage Red Bull had over Alonso was that Red Bull went into the race with effectively 2 drivers in top form, while Ferrari had only 1. Massa was nowhere all season, and proved it in the last race.

Ferrari brought Alonso in way too early. HUGE mistake.

Yes it was .But my point was that it wasnt only to cover Webber. They thought Vettel and Hamilton were also slow because their tyres were shot but it wasnt the case, thety went through the graining and came back. Yes the safety car played a part because the fast mid table teams got in the mix.

True racechick, but it was still a huge mistake to try and cover Webber, he was stuck in traffic - or at least about to be, all they needed to do is cover Vettel. They didn't need to be aggressive and try to jump a place by pitting for fresh tyres.

I did a big mistake by putting all those things together. I have to insist that the key fact is the MS accident. I’ve seen the images a lot of times and for me it’s obvious that he was simulating a touch with Rosberg. If that was the case the rest comes alone, if not they are mere speculation.
Those days I’ve learnt that people usually thinks that your opinions are always biased depending on which is the driver you’re supporting. In fact, who cares about the WDC when you’re thinking that a seven times champion, a true Formula 1 legend has done something like that.
In Abu Dhabi it´s almost impossible a safety car unless someone puts a car in the middle of the track in the first lap when all the cars are grouped. Without SC everything should be different, but I insist, who cares?
For me Vettel deserves the title, why not? What I really hate is people cheating and manipulating.

I hate people cheating and manipulating too. And Schumacher has done both of those things. But on this occassion Mr. Schumacher is innocent.

Yes, you turn the wheel in the direction your rear end is sliding in order to try and save the car from spinning. They teach that in Karting to 4 year old kids.

That’s correct but in that case you have to accelerate and escape, if you don’t and let the car follow the inertia, as he did, you get what he got, a perfect spin in the middle of the track.

Have you never mistaken?
Don’t you find anything better to say? You’re interfering in what should be a healthy debate in order to state what did really happen in Abu Dhabi.
The accident could have been perfectly under stable if Rosberg had actually touched MS, but he failed for a few inches because MS initiated the simulation a couple of seconds before time. Synchrony is very important in those cases and the replay shows the mistake in all his entire splendor.

The thing is mate, using the same reasoning you have,we could probably claim loads of races have been stolen. Korean Grand Prix, Webber spun to try and take out Alonso under team orders from redbull, however Renault want Alonso to win the title so give Vettel a dodgy engine setting and his engine blows up.

You could also say it was a conspiracy in Germany to allow Alonso to win the race ;):P:hehe:
