As fast as Alonso is showing the Ferrari to be right now....he still has to get through the rest of the year without any fresh engines. That I believe will be the difference.

I really find it incredibly difficult to pick a potential winner as things stand. If I'd been asked prior to Monza I'd have pretty firmly said it would only be between Webber and Hamilton, but through a variety of circumstances, somehow the chasing pack hall took leaps and bounds in Italy....

So now I'm not so sure. If Vettel can just stop crashing into things I have a strong feeling that he will bridge the gap to the front, and in spite of recent results I have another gut feeling that the Ferari's won't be in there by the time the last race comes around.

Of course I could well be completely wrong, but my gut instinct is that at the last race it will be between Webber, Hamilton and Vettel (not necessarily in that order of course!), and the winner I simply couldn't pick at this stage.

Vettel? You think?

All I'll say is that I've changed my mind many times this season on who I thought was ultimately going to win the title. Going into the race today I still thought Alonso would do it (as I'm sure most people did), but was clear to say not to write any of the contenders off. Earlier in the season when Vettel was so far behind a lot of people were writing him off as a contender for 2010, but I had a gut feeling as you can see above from what I wrote mid September that he would get his act together and finish the season strongly to be right in the mix. A few people scoffed at the time, but I suppose history will now tell the tale!!

Well I had Webber and Alonso in the wrong spots... But I was right on with the WDC!

I think the top five are still in it. My rankings of who I am betting to win are as follows...

1 - Vettel
2 - Webber
3 - Alonso
4 - Hamilton
5 - Button
