yeh as you would Imagen the difference between a generation of consoles and a progressed game engine creates much more impact to the eye than example a improved engine on the same generation, its better but unless your looking it could be seen as a waste.

interesting comparison Singapore when very green in Fp2 Vettel's time is 1:46:660 in a lotus in similar conditions i put it around in 1:43:339. i guess its the fear and physical factors that doesn't exist in the game but does in real life.

Firstly I'm a bit disappointed that the game is only 720p I'm pretty sure F1CE was 1080p?

Nope, 720p

Just got this, seven laps in Bahrain in a Lotus and my best time is ~2:01. How's everyone else's times looking?

Have to say, I'm mighty impressed with the game so far, although still have the TC on (albeit at the lowest setting) just whilst I get used to it. I can see this being a lot of fun :D

Edit: I feel that I should add that Bahrain is even more disgusting to drive in this layout than it was to watch on TV. Just..ugh :hehe:

I've just gone into the first race in my career in a lotus round bahrain, first practice session and i got the same time as you and that new section is ridiculous. Can't find how to advance time or quit the practice session :/

I've found that it's easier with the wheel than the pad with TC off.

Look to the far-right, past your engineer, and there should be an event information thing that allows you to skip the sessions.

Thanks, seems odd to have that on an info board thing.

No problem. Additionally, I just found out you can advance time by selecting the live timing screen and pressing whatever button it says to press up top. :)

Edit: Hmm, just qualified in 13th at Bahrain with a Lotus. Guess I need to up the difficulty a bit.

Yah, I got pole and finished 4th in a lotus with a couple of spins on cold tyres and was at the back at one point.

Just fell foul of the pitlane bug I've seen mention of, you get held in your box until the pitlane is clear, was running in 5th or 6th but wasn't released until the pitlane was empty and I was in 24th. They say they're going to fix it but until they do they suggest pitting early or late.

I highly doubt that, it's just a game not a simulator.

I got it yesterday and it's awesome. I am in no way a serious gamer. I use my ps3 for watching netflix and blue-ray movies but seeing the trailer, I had to get the game.

The first track to race on was Spa and if you think it's hard try Monaco. It's so realistic.

Anyways, any thoughts on the game

well yes exactly my point, like that top gear thing where he took a NSX around laguna seca both in real life and on the playstation, the difference between the lotus in the game and the redbull are very simular to real life overall lap time wise i wasnt saying it was a sim, was just point to that its much easier not to be phased by anything in the game.

that being said i have just been around monaco, its insanely hard with all the bumps. i did an alonso straight into the barrier at the top of the hill.

Lotus and Redbull in real life are not similar though :hehe: You have to take these games with a grain of salt, aside from the physics and the forces involved of the game not equating to real life. Computer games will never match the physical and mental requirements of the real thing

Not vanished, merely transported to a more suitable location, we don't need several threads about the same game! :)
