Good quali to bad Rubens crashed and ruined the climax. Lewis looked very confident but Rosberg Q2 time was amazing. I think Lewis will be heavier than the red bulls but i'm not sure about Rosberg. HK only got 10th so that was very poor considering McLaren are desperate to get 3rd in the championship!

this is a joke, is the race going to keep being red flagged everytime a driver crashes into a wall? could ruin the grand prix, this night race is just a gimick for commercial reasons, the track is also very dull. Button can now make sure his fuel is longer than rubens who is probably just going to get stuck behind someone, how sodding luckly is button? he throws it away time and time again, but fate makes sure everyone else would suffer as well.

So next time there are pieces of cars all over the place you just let em ride over them ? nice try

We all prosume Rosberg is light but either way a great effort from him today. You can tell ferrari have stopped doing improvements to this years car, woefull session for them.

Why would Rosberg be light? You can use any fuel load you like in Q2 can't you?

I don't like these grid penalties. First Rubens has to change a gearbox before qualifying, he loses 5 places on the grid. If he had to change it in 3rd practice would he have still got the penalty?

It seems unfair. Cars breakdown and need fixing. Why should the driver be penalised for that? If it goes in the race he has to retire, isn't that punishment enough?

And then he writes his car off at the end of Q3. I thought if you modified the car between the race and qualifying you received a 10 place penalty? Is that just gearbox's and engine's? Whatever it is it's needless. Let the drivers drive for goodness sake.

I assume the penalties for changing car bits are there to encourage the driver to save money, time and energy by looking after their cars.

I think that too, but I don't feel F1 should be rewarding the steady tortoise!!

What a performance by Nico! His future with Williams is uncertain but he's commiting to their cause whilst he's still in the car. P3 is probably the best place for him on the grid for tomorrow because of Hamilton's KERS, Nico will be on the clean side of the track and will be able to jump Vettel into turn 1.

Nakajima though has once again showed his ineptitude in a car good enough for a front row grid slot... he has surely got to be on his way out, Hulkenberg needs to get in that FW31 ASAP.

Come on Nico, get out there and kick Hamilton's arse tomorrow!!

:rofl: Hope Nico does well.....but not that well!! I'd like lewis, then Nico, then barichello

when are fuel loads released?

I would be surprised if he wasn't low which most people have said.As for q2 what you on about ?,this was written after q3

Rosberg was quickest, by a long way in Q2, even allowing for Hamilton's scrappy lap. Being that quick, he had no need to fuel himself light.

I get what your saying but I still think he will be light.

I spose we might not find the weights out until the morning as its the middle of the night over there now ?

I'd actually say the top three are on pretty similar fuel loads, maybe Rosberg a little heavier...

Other tracks are able to manage fine with that level of incident wihout a red flag, isn't it all to do with cranes not there or something?

As for nice try, wtf? Or prehaps more importantly wtf is your problem?

The same thing would have happened if it had been in the tunnel at Monaco or on the bridge at Valencia.

Everyone's on nocturnal shifts so I'd expect only the usual delay. I'm sorry cheekybru, I just don't know what the usual delay is.
