I think it remided alot of people about 1994 Imola

That was my thought exactly. I DO remember watching the GP that day in 1994. I remember they had helicopter footage of Senna slumped in the cockpit, you could just tell it was bad. Anytime a driver doesnt move or get out of the car after a wreck these days, I just get the creeps.

Gene? Badoer? Or will Schumi make a one-off return and show us what he can still do? He won't be under any pressure either!

I wasn't Schumi's biggest fan, but I wouldn't mind seeing him return, to go up against Hamilton, Vettel and co. :)

Maybe Shumi, that would be interesting. Back in 99 when Michael broke his leg Ferrari went with someone other than their testers and rung up Mika Salo to take his place. Maybe Ferrari should give Bourdais a call. Sounds crazy at first but he is fit, experienced and certainly has been racing in F1 recently, which is a lot more than either Gene or Shumi can say. Badoer isn't really a consideration, I don't think. I'd love to see Micheal back but I'm not sure he's be up to it at a moments notice. I guess he will have the 3 plus weeks to get in shape and maybe test the car? Could he test it or is the ban in place? Will be an interesting decision.

We all know that Felipe will not take part in the GP later, but should he need the rest of the season to recover from head injuries...
who will take over the seat? Gene ? Badoer? which one of the two? or some outsider?

Schumi will be very unlikely, he is just an adviser for the team not a reserve driver

To be honest with you Id be very suprised if he made a quick return or a return at all this year for that matter. He is probably going to have to do alot of rehab and other things of that nature. But who really knows. And as for who is gonna be in the driver seat tomorrow who really knows that yet either.

Back in 99 when Schumi broke his leg Ferrari chose to go with Mika Salo rather than their tester Badoer so it wouldn't be outrageous if they went for someone else.
With the testing ban its not clear how much driving either Gene or Badoer has done in the car anyhow. As I mentioned in another thread a not-too-crazy choice IMHO might be Bourdais, he's got plenty of recent driving (and racing) experience, he's available and heck, it would be fun to see what he could do in something other than the slag-sled that the STR was. Just a crazy idea :ahahah:

James Allen's latest Twitter update on Massa
Massa is reported by Ferrari to be in the same condition this morning as last night.

Nothing new, he must still be stable but in an induced coma.

Ferrari have said they won't be replacing him for today's GP which is what we expected.
