100% eh? That is a new record for us I think. :) Lets go for twice in a row. I'm going to say that this season, with the rule changes, and diffuser drama, Brawn coming out of nowhere to lead the pack, liegate, closer following distances and more passing is the best season beginning I can recall. What do you say...another 100% agreement? Hehe...cheers mate, it's an F1 race weekend and life is gooooood.

Well I don't know about anyone else, but I certainly think this is the best season beginning I've ever seen, for all those reasons, the BBC being back as the UK broadcaster...

Okay, it's mostly the Jenson thing. So sue me :D

You have been served!

Make that 2 in a row, I'm sure Bill's even Happier that Alonso is 2nd in Qualifying. It's great to see Braun doing so well, I've been a BAR/Honda fan since the start (JV fan) so it's great to see them doing well, and although Hamilton's car is not fast I look forward to seeing what he's capable of in a slower car. Ferrari is looking like their old self before the Schumacher/Braun era so it will be good to see how they can respond to being mediocre, (so far not so good).
Sunday in China should be interesting :) For us folks in the US it's the first full season of F1 in High Def. so that's a big plus.

I must say, having seen Hamilton's reaction to being asked about Dennis leaving was really strange, sure he has probably been asked that question hundreds of times this weekend, but he seemed very awkward and uncomfortable rather than annoyed at being asked... odd.

Yep isn't their the rumour they had fell out quite some time ago though?
Seemed a very uneasy Lewis Hamilton when asked that, is he considering his future?

... is he considering his future?

Hopefully very strongly.

Hopefully a lot of this will clear up over the season and Lewis being coy is just pointless all he needed to say is "yes" when asked about staying then even if he did move he could just say "that was then this is now" being coy just causes more rumours and more crap that the team don't need the team need stability.

It did do my heart a bit of good seeing Alonso do well. I suspect that result will be nullified pretty quickly (after the first round of pitstops...I suspect Alonso will be somewhere around 5th), but all in all it was a pretty exciting qualifying. Hamilton looked dangerously close to doing well there for the first part of Quali which had me not so terribly happy but he dropped pretty quickly...as is only proper. It would be nice to see Heikki place well, being one row behind Lewis with a heavier fuel load gives hope for him. I suspect his tires will be toast before he can put the fuel to any use but perhaps not...I would like to see him do well for McLaren. He certainly has had a dismal start this year but I really like his attitude.

Tomorrow....I predict....Barrichello, Button, Vettel. Lewis crashes out pulling some hairbrained maneuver and blames it on the team's chef for too much egg yolk in the scrambled eggs.

Very true, but then Lewis has never much cared about what is best for the team has he? He is all about what keeps his name in the press and his ego stroked.

It was odd.

Indeed, Just as odd was his non-answer to the "Are you thinking of leaving?" question. He seems to not be heading that way, but he refuses to give a straight "No"...Keeping his options open in case he decides later to start considering other options?

I guess he doesn't want to give anyone a chance to show him as a liar again, how political!:hehe:

One of the BBC guys commented on it... and yeah, surely it'd be easier just to say a flat out 'no' to those questions? Just... odd!

Well this crap thats going on must make you political. Do i say what I think? Do I say what Im supposed to say? Do I say what I want to say?
Doesnt matter either way, people will hate him if they want to hate him whatever he says. And they will support him if they want to support him whatever he says. He should stop trying to please people cos he wont. You know the saying!!! You can please some of the people etc etc...

Stop trying to please the people? I give up, what is Hamilton doing or has ever done for that matter that has the intent of pleasing the people? He is out for himself and thinks only of himself. Nothing wrong with that, but don't make him sound like he is some sort of misunderstood saint who is giving far too much of his time to starving Eskimos stranded on a floating ice shelf by global warming. He isn't out saving the world to his own detriment...in fact he never does a thing that isn't in his best interest.
