I saw Lewis Crash. :( and I saw Rosberg leave the track with all wheels but not get penalised. Apparently this weekend they've decided to be lenient...only with F1 though, all the other categories get penalised.
More after my shower, I'm filthy.

Half the grid would have to be penalized for it because I saw loads of guys doing it. I'm not saying it's ok, I'm just saying don't single out rosberg when a dozen other guys were doing the same thing please.

It sucks hamilton had another mechanical failure. I WAS GOING TO ENJOY WATCHING HAMILTON GET BEAT BY ROSBERG ON GERMAN TURF FAIR AND SQUARE.

I think it was classy that Rosberg said in the post quali press conference that he was a little less happy that he and hamilton didn't get to fight for it head to head.

Regarding the race, I feel like hamilton is going to take himself out of this one. If he doesn't, then I don't give a $#@! that the force indias qualified at the bottom of the top 10, they will be hard to pass. Hulkenberg and perez have epic race pace, and getting by magnussen, kyvat, and the williams cars will be no simple task. It's going to be an interesting one. I can see hamilton in the top 10 by the end of lap one but he's going to have to fight more after than more than just rely on the dominance of the mercedes car.

It will also be interesting to see if the williams cars put up a good fight like in austria but with better strategies. This one could be epic :twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted:

Hamiltons the guy "Can I get a chance to get the lead in the....."

Mercedes is the penguin.

Anyway, Hamilton is most likely starting from the pitlane. Smart choice since I predict some sort of carnage in midfield before Turn 3.

Is it just me or does it seem like Williams's speed of development far outshines everyone else?

It's just you.

Ah okay, I'll leave then.

Holy sh*t, just realized Magnussen outqualified the other guy by a SECOND today....hahahahahahahahahhahahahaa

Probably the final nail in Button's McLaren career.

Easy to read what Ron was thinking when the TV camera was on him during that Q session.

Yes, it was interesting that the camera zoomed in on Ron at that moment. Stunning stuff from Magnussen, I'm hoping for more of the same tomorrow. His confidence seems to be starting to grow again after that post-Melbourne blip.

I still don't think Hamilton's chances are totally wiped out. He has a decisively fast car, and we've seen how easily he can come from behind in both Austria and Silverstone. All it needs is a safety car or something when Hamilton has worked back to the front, and he's back in the game. Anything is possible!

I agree Lew, that's why I'm picking him for the win in the pool!

You know what Geet, half the grid were penalised in Austria, including Lewis who lost his pole time, but today as you say, half the grid get away with it and Rosberg keeps the pole time

Rosberg can afford to be classy when his team mate has just handed him pole. Lewis was 'classy' at Silverstone when Rosberg went out saying similar things. You really think they're unhappy about the misfortunes of their team mate? Get real!

Mag was awesome! Repeatedly, not just a one off. Hope he carries it through. And the Williams again look good, would love them, particularly Massa, to do well.
Oh, and yes, Perez! One lap stunner! Are you seeing this Martin Whitmarsh! Need to go and think about my pool picks now. Very hard!

Toto Wolff is not impressed with the size of the Friday crowd at Hockenheim. It didn't look brilliant today, either. He also draws up a comparison with the much fuller crowds at Silverstone and Austria:

Mercedes motorsport boss Toto Wolff believes that Formula 1 may have to ask tough questions of itself if the German Grand Prix does not attract a big crowd.

With German television audiences already in decline, ticket sales for this weekend's race at Hockenheim are not pointing towards a sell-out even though German Nico Rosberg is leading the championship for Mercedes.

Wolff admitted the lack of crowds on Friday were disappointing, but he reckoned that a better gauge of the situation would come from how many people turned up on Saturday and Sunday.

"It's not satisfying," explained Wolff. "If you compare Hockenheim Friday to Friday at Silverstone and Friday in Austria, it's a different world.

"We have to understand why that is. I'm not sure whether we have an exact number for Sunday already - you know, there are lots of people probably deciding at short notice, depending on the weekend - and we have to analyse the phenomenon.

"If the weekend continues like it does now, we need to think about it."

F1 is facing growing calls to consider radical changes in a bid to stop interest in it declining - with FIA president Jean Todt this week backing the idea of a summit for the sport to address its issues.

He's right Lew. The stands were half empty even for quali.
They should stop doing tricks and get back to cars that let drivers make a difference. That's what people want to see.
