Ferrari actually had the highest top speed. Merc have the most power which is what is has been for a while now.

How do you know the Ferrari has the highest top speed? Did they go to an airfield and take of both front and rear wings and max out the engine? No one knows who has the top speed, it's not really an important factor in F1.

Judging by the speed traps at the test. Anyway it's a bit early to say, it's not even before the first race. On the Top Speed factor remember Hungary where Vettel couldn't pass a McLaren for 12laps(or more) while Hamilton with longer gears did it within 2 laps. Just saying.

All that depends on setup... it has nothing to do with the capability of an engine to reach a higher speed. Power out of corners, yes, but top speed has a few elements (setup mainly) which affect an engines capability to reach a target speed on a long straight.

Jesus these days are slow. But just think guys, this time next week, we'll be preparing for the first race. We'll find out who will be on pole, and for the first time, it's unpredictable to guess who will be on pole and win....

Unless Red Bull make their car twice as powerful as the Mercedes and break the rules in regulation with the FIA overlooking things
