Bloody hell!!! Stirling Moss said something complimentary about someone who is not British! He's usually so patriotic it's painful and verging on xenophobia!

So that's Lauda and Moss then that we can't mention around here.

Why cant you mention Moss? he's a sweet old guy. He hasnt insulted anyone like Lauda has or been downright hypocritical, he's just stated his view. I dont agree with him on this occassion but still enjoy hearing his point of view.

Lauda didn't insult anyone at all! As for Moss, even a blind squirrel will find a nut occasionally.

I don't see why you're posting this on multiple threads, all I see is a routine qualifying lap. Am I missing something?

Vettel fans are becoming far worse than most others of late...

I don't understand - we are excited because Vettel posted a lap EIGHT TENTHS faster than anyone else in qualifying. Surely if a McLaren driver was 8 tenths faster you too would be excited.

You're all getting to god like worship, almost like the Lewis fanboys that were sprouting s*** a few years ago. 8 tenths in the first race in a car that was clearly 8 tenths faster than the next car McLaren who rocked up to the race as an unknown with a untested diffuser. So yeah job done well played Seb, but not god like.

That was the story of the season though, Webber wasn't getting the most out of the car and the tyres. You only have to look to the previous year to see this fact.

It's almost like these Vettel fanboys are implying that Vettel suddenly transformed from an ordinary Joe to a Godlike racer from 2010 - 2011, suddenly he's Mr 8 tenths faster than what the car can achieve because "look where Webber landed".

Not to the extent of 2011 Azza, Webber held his own in 2010, championship leader for most of 2010 he out Q'd and out raced him quite a few times even if you fanboys don't like to admit it.

For the first seven years of his F1 career, Mark Webber was considered a qualifying specialist. He outqualified Rosberg 12 to 6 at Williams. He qualified second and two times third in a Jaguar, and put several other mid-field cars on the first three rows. Shame on you for trying to put down Webber's qualifying skills just in an effort to bad mouth Vettel.

If you'd actually bother to look at the facts, than you would have to agree with me that 7 - 12 is not "outqualifying Vettel for most of 2010". Actually, you'd find the 2009 score, which you deem "not to the extent of 2011", to be actually quite similair: 14 to 3 for Vettel.

And holding his own against Vettel in 2010? If it weren't for his car falling apart, Vettel would not have finished 14 points ahead of Webber, but 70, including Webber's cases of bad luck.
