It's not reliant on the fastest car and its not reliant on the fast driver, it's reliant on rubber. We may as well watch a contest for the best pair of washing up gloves, or the best sink plunger, or the best condom......ok that contest may be more interesting than the previous two, but actually I'd rather see car racing :banghead:

So if either involved Lewis it'd still be the racing?

:P you mean out of washing up, plunging sinks, racing cars or using condoms? I'd rather see Lewis racing cars

Oh c'mon, you trying to say you wouldn't miss a race to see Lewis plunging your sink?

Is sink a euphemism?

Not at all, was thinking RC might want to see his arms in action.

Not looking good for a 3rd straight podium.

Damn you're more ambitious than Lewis!

It was what he was aiming for before Practice started lol

Wow these blogs are like 'real'...almost like the driver is just doing it himself and not a PR effort. Looks like Nico got caught for this one soon after getting out of his race suit.

I am much more impressed with mercedez this year than the last three, except for this last race, they just fell away, and that is a shame. :nono:

I think they knew Bahrain was going be a toughy. That said, Lewis ran ok after the 2nd pitstop. He said the car suddenly felt better.
Other things I've heard Lewis say about the car is they need cooler weather. They're hanging on by their fingernails to the top group, but if they sort out the rear tyre wear they'll be right with them. The car is intrinsically fast and great to drive.

Spain where we know Lewis is super-strong, Monaco with the pole last year, and Lewis's Main track Canada coming up :) Hopefully some good results in there can anyone see him or Nico getting a win out of the three? :drink:

Ahh yes, remember his performance a couple of years back, when he hounded Sebastian Vettel all the way home? A rare decent race from Barcelona.

It's a pretty circuit, unfortunately it's also been pretty boring. But if Bahrain can manage to give us a show, let's hope the Circuito de Cataluña can deliver likewise.

Bahrain, as a circuit, has FAR more opportunities for overtaking I feel.

I've hear Mercedes are hiring Kubiza to improve the simulator. Lewis has said it's not up to the standard of the one he used at Mclaren. If Kubitza wants to get back into F1 I would think its a superb opportunity for him as well as helping Mercedes.

Kubica? What the heck is he going to know, he's not driven an F1 car in ages....the last thing he remembers vividly is probably the crash in a rally car. I'm confused with this idea.

I followed a link in a tweet. It was an article where Lewis was saying he's not out of the fight yet. At the end of the article was that bit about Kubiza. Not sure how it would wrk. I guess Lewis could describe how the Mclarwn one works and what he wants then Kubiza works on it , then the regular drivers have a go and see if its improved. Dunno really . I'll look for the link in a minute.....cooking tea now.

A reaffirmation that Mercedes really need the cooler weather. Brawn says that's why Lewis picked up the pace at Bahrain in the later part of the race.........it had cooled down.

Yeah that makes sense, I mentioned it during the race about qualli being cooler and the race start was the hottest it had been. The same goes for when it was wet, thus being cool the mercs were supreme but the races were dry and q3 was dry so they were losing performance every time they needed it to be cool.
