Missing the point a bit there mate...

So are a lot of people! I dont care about the lengths that Spanish Media go to Defame Lewis :yes:

But what makes them hypocrites and a laughable media is that they wont talk about Spygate,Crashgate,Ordergate etc in the same breath!!

A well respected media does not Nitpick!!!

You say you don't care, yet are still continuing to have a go at them.

Those links you posted completely contradict the point you are trying to make as well. All this talk about the Spanish media being this and that, but the reports you posted were written in English - and they exhibit the exact same qualities that you are complaining the Spanish press are guilty of... :hehe:

So quoting "evil",makes you one as well? by your analogy :hehe:

I guess all the scholars that wrote about Hitler are guilty all the same

That would be taking things completely out of context though.

You said:

That is exactly what they are doing in one of those articles, a petty attack on the Spanish paper. There was no F1 news in that article whatsoever.

My main here point is that all countries have their crappy media outlets, we have the Daily Mail and all the tabloids here, there's Fox News in the US, etc etc etc. Going around making sweeping generalisations based on a few articles is therefore misguided at best.

You also said:

Before Alonso,F1 was unknown in Spain and wasn't even shown on TV Live!

Spain has been hosting Grand Prix races since 1913, and has been almost ever present since 1967. Seriously doubt it's 'unknown' if it's been present in the country for many years. Of course interest is going to increase when the home nation has a successful driver, it is the same everywhere so there's no basis for an attack on them in that respect.

I think it would be best if you stop typing and listened/learned for a change  .

There is a difference being a well respected media and a bunch of amateurs!!! I guess my previous point makes sense!!!

It's like having the North Koreans write about Democracy

Yes, or having you talking about intelligence and self respect. This is really a honest thought.

Maybe its time for a mod to 'honestly' but a stop to this 'honest' thread as its 'honestly' gone down the drain.

Honestly i didnt like the name of the thread in the first place. I mean honestly, why do you need to state "thread" in the title? Its like Ferrari naming their car "F10 car", as if they were expecting you to mistaken it for a speeding tomato.
#235188
Honestly, the Ferrari always looks like a speeding tomato to me anyway.

Alonsos Personality is not as bad as the English press makes out

Hamiltons Personality is not as bad as the Spanish press makes out

8-)

What does the Spanish press know about F1 anyway? Before Alonso,F1 was unknown in Spain and wasn't even shown on TV Live!

Since we're being HONEST

You have an honest view but not enough F1 knowledge to know that F1 was popular in spain before Alonso and had healthy viewing figures on spanish TV. Alonso just brought it up a notch to overtake motocycle racing. So I think that will tell you that the spanish people are big fans and well cultured in motorsport.

What I meant is on this article for all to see
"the sport had a terrible track record on television in Spain, in 1996 Telecinco broadcast races in the middle of the night which reportedly got less than 200,000 viewers"
