Yeah, if F1 was in Ireland this weekend and they wanted a weather predictions I'd say with 100% confidence bring your umbrella.

Point is, the locals said it last year. It always pours mid day in Sepang. A few people said the race needed moved back, but no one listened. I'd say we'll see rain similar to last year. Hopefully without a red flag this time though.

Didn't they move it already by an hour after last year?
So chances are that the first 60-90 minutes of the race could be (relatively) dry until the usual downpour begins sometime after 5pm local time. Teams could very well opt to quali and start the race on the option tires and then switch to intermediates/wets once the rain comes, avoiding the prime tires altogether.

2 Stop?

Nope. Either start on the hards and run most of the distance, then do the last bit on softs or else do a short opening stint on the softs (the top-ten will likely do this) before switching to the hards and doing the rest of the distance on those, much like in Bahrain.

The point is moot. It will rain.

moot?

A moot point = a cow's opinion :hehe::hehe:

I will laugh if it doesn't rain after you've said this so emphatically, oh mighty all-seeing predictor of the weather... :bow::P

Oh, and both Red Bulls have broken engines after 2nd practice, due to overheating, according to spanish magazine Marca

Vettel too?! On the 5live coverage they weren't sure if Webber was having engine or gear box issues and Red Bull was less than helpful in clarifying, I must have completely missed Vettel pitting early.

The first thing I heard when I woke up was "95%" chance of rain and "will they have to qualify on Sunday morning", so I'm guessing rain is definitely on for qualifying.
