Please listen up everyone ok :) ? In light of the rapid growth that the forum is experiencing and the amount of debates that are getting alittle heated an updated set of guidelines are being implemented immediately and they are self explanatory. If anyone feels they have issues with the new guidelines please contact an admin or a mod so it can be worked out in a positive fashion :)

you represent your team at all times on and off the track, ya a role model to thousands of kids and you act like a complete idiot, yes he should be fined

I agree with this - we are judged by our actions, on and off of the job, on and off the field, etc. If I'm wearing my school uniform and I give someone the finger, they're obviously going to get a bad impression and assume things about the rest of the students at my school. (Well, some people would.)

You have your own opinion and it's great that you do (see my signature), but I find it a bit harsh to say those things to someone you don't associate with. How do you know that no one looks up to him? Almost everyone idolizes someone and is idolized by someone else.

and ill say it again being an Aussie. The hoon laws rules are pretty simple and to have your car impounded requires a multiple offence

That isn't entirly true....even a decent stationary burnout with decent smoke AKA a linelocker for example can result in your car being taken. It has happened to a friend. Its only for 48hours. A repeat offence results in a longer impounding of the car.

I think its a bit rough giving the police a spray especially when you didn't/haven't seen the incident. The police were complimentary of Lewis's co-operation and even issued the ticket through the rear passenger side door rather than the drivers window to help keep Lewis.

I can see two sides to this.
Its bad to see he doesn't seem to realise he is a role model to many young and older(bud?) men.
Its good to see a side to Lewis that is a normal young guy that loves being a hoon, as many of us do.

And Bud apologies for "Nobody looks up to you." It was meant in relation to the number of people that look up to Lewis worlwide. It read harsher than it sounded in my head.

Ron Dennis was probably fuming.

Mind you at least it wasn't in the company's sports car.

Ron Dennis was probably fuming.

According to the Ronspeak translator, he would have said;

"I am angry that Lewis Hamilton burned out high performance mechanical conveyanceelessly and got trouble in conjunction with the police". :hehe:

i think Tex means Ron's view on Lewis' management? As in the article it says Ron has a different view to Martin. I dont see why he cant do a Vettel and manage himself if he needs counselling as Martin suggests he always has his father.

I suppose Hamilton will draw alot more contracts and be the face of things in comparison to Vettel, so that is alot of work for one man to try and keep on top of. Maybe Lewis should seek a manager to look after his commercial interests, while looking after the racing side for himself?
