if 03 was another Ferrari cake walk i can GUARANTEE they would not have complained.

yeh but that's just natural, if you are winning, it doesn't matter what the other teams are doing. if you are getting beaten and the other teams are doing something illegal, you are going to want that to be stopped, especially when it regards something as important as tire performance

Well, when measured before the racing began, they would meet the correct dimensions as stated in the regulations, thus passing. It's a bit like the Ferrari flexi-floor from 2007. When tested using the standard FIA scrutineering methods it was found to be within the test criteria (which, clearly, weren't strong enough) but when it was subjected to the huge downforce generated at racing speeds, it flexed more than was allowed. Still, none of that matters now. It was six years ago.

As for Alonso joining Ferrari, it's a bit of a let down since we've known it was going to happen for so long. We need something interesting to happen to balance this out like, say, Jacques Villeneuve being signed by McLaren or Schumacher coming back to race with one of the new teams.

Lotus announcing that it is going to race in plain green with a yellow band and hiring Michael Schumacher would pretty much make me wet myself with glee
