Well..nobody could improve their times after the crash, and after all Rubens got P5...so, he stay ahead of Button...

We just need to know if he is going light...

Well Ross Brawn stated that due to the gear box change "our strategy has been compromised", id guess that he is going to be lighter than he wished.

bar the amount of damage he caused to the car i think it all worked out pretty well for barrichelo. he wasn't going to get much higher than 5th. should make the championship more interesting anyway. and hamilton looked good, so really looking forward to the race.

Hope they get Rubens car sorted! he wont be able to practise in it cos they cant start repairing it till tomorrow.
Lewis looked stunning, only went out once in the first two sessions. Wonder what he could have done on that last run? he must have lots of tyres saved for the race.

I don't like these grid penalties. First Rubens has to change a gearbox before qualifying, he loses 5 places on the grid. If he had to change it in 3rd practice would he have still got the penalty?

It seems unfair. Cars breakdown and need fixing. Why should the driver be penalised for that? If it goes in the race he has to retire, isn't that punishment enough?

And then he writes his car off at the end of Q3. I thought if you modified the car between the race and qualifying you received a 10 place penalty? Is that just gearbox's and engine's? Whatever it is it's needless. Let the drivers drive for goodness sake.

On a positive note, Rosberg's Q2 lap was awesome.

Shame Barrichello crashed, that was just building up for an exciting climax to the session!

Rosberg's lap in Q2 was good... :yikes:

Yes that was excellent, went really well on low fuel.

How was he doing at that lap?
like, really really fast? or not that fast?

anybody?

Yeah, who didn't think. Rubens crash, could it have been on purpose.

You could clearly see how Ted Kravitz was questioning Ross Brawn, trying to get a hint of something that might say, we crashed on purpose.

But anyway, session red flagged, little disappointed because I was all out rooting for Rosberg. But 3rd is good for tomorrow.

I assume the penalties for changing car bits are there to encourage the driver to save money, time and energy by looking after their cars.

That was a pretty interesting qualifying :D I love this season, it's been so up and down, always exciting.
Rosberg seems to really like this track - wonder if he would have qualified better if the session had finished?

I do hope McLaren havn't low filled Lewis again.I really can't understand them doing it all the time. With the KERS off the line would of thought they would of gone a lap longer if anything.More confident of the stratergy today tho.

I prosume Button will put a few more laps of fuel in than the people around him, as passing is a nightmare on this joke of a track.

We all prosume Rosberg is light but either way a great effort from him today. You can tell ferrari have stopped doing improvements to this years car, woefull session for them.

I think the biggest movers in either direction are Red Bulls flying again and the lack of speed from Force India, although the type of track I can understand the FI's not being quick

What a performance by Nico! His future with Williams is uncertain but he's commiting to their cause whilst he's still in the car. P3 is probably the best place for him on the grid for tomorrow because of Hamilton's KERS, Nico will be on the clean side of the track and will be able to jump Vettel into turn 1.

Nakajima though has once again showed his ineptitude in a car good enough for a front row grid slot... he has surely got to be on his way out, Hulkenberg needs to get in that FW31 ASAP.

Come on Nico, get out there and kick Hamilton's arse tomorrow!!
