Whatever happened to the spirit of competition? I did not win every competative event I was in but I was a winner because atleast I tried. Thank God I'm an optimist :) .

You think she should be allowed to compete in the women's category? I feel sorry for her, I really do but ultimately she has an unfair advantage and the other women shouldn't have to compete against someone who isn't techincally a woman.

So you are saying she is a he then?

No, she appears to have an intersex condition. She classifies herself as a woman so I'll continue to describe her as such but that doesn't mean that she should be allowed to compete in the women's category.

If it is true that she is transgender then no but I have no factual info concerning this so I'll just stay out of the conversation. :)

so would you say she could be in the mens?

I don't know what the rules are but she'd be at no advantage in the men's category Although I'm not sure she'd even want to and she'd be off the pace anyway.

Couldn't be a truer word said about it. There are not enough intersex gender people to form another series of athletics.

It sounds like (s)he's not a hermaphrodite at all (like, e.g., snails). Somehow in Caster's fetal development, the primary male schmex organs didn't develop and the female appearance was retained. Interestingly, female is the default condition and males have to add something (mainly hormonal signals) to guarantee they turn into males. So, from what I've heard I'd say Caster is an incomplete male.
