I love the Monaco GP and I hope McLaren will do a lot better here because I think the car will suit the track.

Careful with those words.

Nico Rosberg can attest to their cursed nature lol

Funny, I just commented on the McLaren thread that I'm waiting for Hamilton to come out and say those six legendary words.

Poor Nico, he deserves better... :(

This year he needs to keep his nose clean, literally. If he puts some effort in this weekend for a change and Rod Nelson doesn't do yet another "conservative strategy" Nico should be able to challenge for pole.

Which essentially means "the win". They certainly have the 1 lap pace to grab the first slot. That'd be pretty awesome.

I repeat what I have stated many times, those at McLaren who produced that pile of crap MP24 need their arses kicking big style. Lewis is driving his socks off but the car is just not good enough to challenge for pole or serious points

:thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown:

Foul play mate. Lewis only got his 2008 WDC with their help.

Yes he did, then they went onto produce this pile of crap for 2009, never mind posting thumbs down :irked: mate, I'm entitled to my oppinion as a McLaren supporter.

But you're being completely unfair. Part of the reason their car for this year is less developed is they were doing everything they could to help Lewis keep his dream alive last year. It's not like they didn't try their very best as well.

He's already proved he is one of the top guys, he would blatantly have had a race win or more by now if he hadn't been so loyal to Williams. They simply haven't produced the goods for him. I don't blame them, it sucks that Williams were left in the lurch by BMW and don't have the money to compete and I'd love to see them back up there but Nico is wasting his career there right now, he is championship material.

I mean, it's not like they're throwing race results away as well as having a car that can't win races.

Nico has had only two races where he's been in a position to challenge for the win. In Malaysia, the Brawn superiority and Jenson's push towards the end of the stint took that opportunity away. Last year in Singapore, only the ridiculous rules for the safety car caused him to lose that victory.

Ask Lewis If I'm being unfair. He is the ultimate statesman when describing this years car. FFS, they have a budget of between 3-400£m with a massive technical/development team
He'd being going faster in a bloody Skoda diesel.

Yeah they are pretty cursed words but I did say Barcelona was not going to suit the McLaren and I was right, so hopefully it will work this way around as well.

Unbelievable. What do you think they were doing? Drinking on the job?

Because they were too busy putting all their effort in to winning 2008's championship (which was necessary due to the number of points lost by driver mistakes earlier in the season). Ferrari did the same thing and dropped behind this year. Same story with Renault (although they were not in contention for the championships).

Rubbish, a team as big as Mclaren should have had their eye on the ball and listened to Ross about the loop-hole in the difusers situation. Please don't lecture me about being unfair on McLaren, they fooked up, and they know it, hence all the poxy mini-updates they keep flying in

To assume that any team is infallible is close to idiocy. They had to devote a lot of resources to last year in order to win the drivers' championship. Ordinarily (2007, for example) this would not have been as big a deal but with such a massive change to the regulations it was inevitable that a big team would drop behind. What I wasn't expecting was that four of them would do it.

And for the record, Renault and BMW Sauber were the teams that decided not to agree to Ross' idea, not McLaren...
