ofcourse its not the answer but its a major part of the package!

Yes bud..... hope you know me sober ....but ya .. I guess only time will tell. ... believe me. I have experienced it. if you add crap to create downforce - you create more drag. The diffuser - funny they should call it that. is claimed to actually create a vacuum in that small area and thats the reasom it also needs holes to feed it so that it dont get too overpowering. that last bit was added by somebody. dont make sense but i will take it. anyway so its intended to suck you to the ground. - alas ............. more drag !!! no ... there more to it... and at some point we will hear it. .. maybe that brawn has been excluded from the WCC for blah blah blah .......and blah. that would be a shame !!

The new regs initially reduced aero by 50%. The teams were able to claw back around 30%. It is widely accepted as fact that the diffuser may add up to 5-6% of downforce. However, that's only true if implemented properly with other aero adjustments. So, the 5% figure is probably a best case scenario and your mileage may vary depending on other design factors and constraints.

I dont know DD. one question on everybody's mind right now... How does Brawn do it ??? I am really afraid that the answer to that question may cause even more issues for F1. .........lets hope not.

If the diffusers mean little why then are all the teams going to remake their cars at a great cost based around double decker diffusers?

I suspect that this diffuser deal is far from the golden egg that it is being made out to be, and I further suspect that Brawn sits up at night giggling into the bottom of his bourbon glass.

If you can keep the other side of the table focused on some minor issue that they believe they can win...and if they do it doesn't really matter to you...you have won the battle. The trick is to put up such a fight over that minor issue that they don't see the major ones floating around. I suspect Brawn has been doing a masterful job of doing exactly that. We shall see...it's just a suspicion.

I sincerely doubt it.

Brawn have just got the best package. It happens from time to time. Sometimes you've just got to accept somebody else has done a better job than you have.

Especially when that somebody is Ross Brawn

The man is a genius, I think we can all agree on that.

I really don't think most of the people who are complaining about Brawn's car (teams, drivers, fans etc.) genuinely believe Brawn are cheating. Put simply, they're either jealous or frustrated they've not done a better job, or both.

I'm inclined to agree, there's nothing really to suggest they're cheating, and it's not like heir pace makes no sense. So these ideas have to be coming from elsewhere.

Wow I agree with you 100% I think that's a first. There's Definitely a lot more to Braun's cars than the Diffusers, and I think he's even been sandbagging a little. It'll be interesting to watch the tire strategy this weekend, It seems like the Braun cars are the only 2 cars that have been able to handle the difference in tire compounds.

100% eh? That is a new record for us I think. :) Lets go for twice in a row. I'm going to say that this season, with the rule changes, and diffuser drama, Brawn coming out of nowhere to lead the pack, liegate, closer following distances and more passing is the best season beginning I can recall. What do you say...another 100% agreement? Hehe...cheers mate, it's an F1 race weekend and life is gooooood.

Well I don't know about anyone else, but I certainly think this is the best season beginning I've ever seen, for all those reasons, the BBC being back as the UK broadcaster...

Okay, it's mostly the Jenson thing. So sue me :D
