No-win situation for Ferrari fans then. Ferrari protesting the loudest probably means that Ferrari would have considerable difficulty catching up if the diffusers are legal. But if ruled illegal, we'll get a whole season of people claiming that the FIA "fixed" it for Ferrari.
I've already posted in the technical thread in "the pits" that I think the diffusers are probably illegal due to the holes required to channel air into them.

Whiting said they were technically legal that's why they were allowed to race with them in the first 2 races. Ferrari is complaining because they don't fit the "Spirit of the rules". I'm not sure what Ferrari's take is on the supports for their mirrors, they look like an additional Aerodynamic device to me and therefore aren't in keeping with the "Spirit of the Rules" .
Something else interesting to note was Williams lodging a protest against Red Bull and Ferrari in Melbourne for allegedly having flexing parts but later withdrew it. If they have their diffuser banned they will probably re-lodge that protest.

Yeah and I'm pretty sure that protest related to a certain red car's mirror supports!

Don't bet to sure he could in his worse case scenario loose those points.
