Ham Boy is in danger of pulling a Jacques Villeneuve. Their F1 careers are quite similar so far, it would be quite funny if they mirrored each other

So long as Hamilton's career doesn't nosedive so long as he's at McLaren, I'd find it rather amusing.

:sickman:

:hehe:

To be honest, it could go that way, I guess. This year's McLaren could be compared to the 1998 Winfield Williams atrocity. If he leaves at the end of the season and goes to USGPE...

Well. I don't need to say the rest, do I?

It'll all blow over. Hopefully from Spain onwards the cars performance will pick up and we'll start see him competing for wins. That will do a lot for his confidence and self esteem, which must be absolutely rock bottom at the moment. Time is a big healer

How about a swap with Sutil for a year or two? Payed by McLaren on a strictly performance-based scale. If LH is such a great driver he could show it at the Mercedes junior team and take them to unheard of heights :hehe:
And AS could finally show what he's got and shine in a hopefully decent car
Two birds with one stone

Lewis doesnt ned to go to Force India to show what he can do in an underperfoming car, he's already in one. Genarally rated 3rd last car at the moment he's got it to 3rd and 7th.
Last year it was all about 'Lewis needs to show what he can do in a midfield car..whinge wine blah blah' Now that he is doing that, suddenly he has to do it the car that is right at the back of the grid.
Why not send him out with the pit lane speed limiter stuck on. " Now show us what you can do, Lewis, pah! your nothing special if you couldnt overcome that!"

Team US F1 is going to run American drivers.

But there's nothing to stop daddy from partnering with some mis-guided multi-national brand and setting Jnr. up his very own race team.

Hm..Where Have I heard this "manager setting up a team for kinda self-centred star driver" story before..?

Unless that second new team that Bernie was going on about is none other than "Anthony Hamilton F1"

Damn it is really difficult being right all the time.

I said earlier this year that if Button started winning and Hamilton was mid pack the British press and fans would jump ship and Hamilton would start bad mouthing his team in the press. I didn't expect it would only take one race for that to happen, but Hamilton's arrogance and lack of character don't surprise me much.

"They told me to lie, so I did....poor me, I'm a victim"

Pffft. Show some backbone, douchebag. Either tell whoever is supposedly telling you to lie that you won't do it...or stand up like a man when you are caught rather than attempting to blame the team for YOUR decision to lie to the stewards. His press conference was the single most ridiculous action by a driver (who is a team employee) I have ever seen. I had little respect for him prior to this year, and less now.

I also said earlier this year that Hamilton didn't have the intestinal fortitude to drive a mid pack car like Alonso, Button, and most of the other drivers out there. I said he didn't have the courage, patience or skillset to drive anything that isn't a pre-built (on someone else's development driver skillset) front runner...and in ONE race he has proved me right. Those who have been praising Hamilton as the next Schumi and comparing him to Senna should be embarrassed to watch how he is handling McLaren's struggles. His team would not have had to focus so hard on improving last year's car if he had not crashed in pit lane, crashed into the back of Alonso in the middle of a straight, etc etc etc. Had they not needed to spend such an unprecedented amount of time and money in the last few races of last season....this year's car may have been better. As it is, he can't even give them 2 races to sort the car before he is sitting his arrogant ego in front of the press crying victim.

He is another Juan Pablo....whining windbag or an arrogant twat. I hope the two of them are fighting it out in Nascar before the end of the year.

:wavey: Hello Mrs. Hamilton....good seeing you too. Oh, and thanks for:

Why not send him out with the pit lane speed limiter stuck on.

I had almost forgotten how he cost his team a world championship by hitting the wrong button on the steering wheel. You might as well have said lets make him drive into the pits through the sandtrap. Or, hey...lets park cars in the pitlane for him to run into.
:clap::clap:

Not exactly. He took the first race to last place, 0 points, might as well have stayed in England result....and 7th in a race with a dozen tire changes (meaning luck is more the deciding factor than driver skill). In so doing, he has badmouthed his team in the press, threatened to break his contract, acted like a teenage crying baby and embarrassed all of his fans. Yeah, sounds like he is dealing quite well with a midpack car doesn't it? Where is all of that character you have praised him on? He gets caught in a lie and runs to the press crying 'it wasn't me, it wasn't me'. My 6 year old nephew has been known to act like that, but he is usually put in time out when he does. Pathetic. His actions thus far this year are nothing short of Pathetic. Certainly not what one would consider 'World Champion' character. The Hamilton fans absolutely destroyed Alonso for his public complaints about his team after nearly a full season of putting up with it.....Hamilton makes it one race before he starts crying like a little girl.

im going to pass ultimate judgement on whether he really is wanting to leave or if its just media BS. But it really annoys me if it is true. Like Bill has said he has only had 2 races in a car that cant fight for wins and he is wanting an out clause. Even if the liegate had happened and he was in a McLaren that was the pace setter would there be even a hint of talk of leaving the team? i dont think so.
If he does leave i would have no respect for him what so ever. and i would hope he rots his way into oblivion! not sure about a crooner like Jaques but he likes his hip hop homeboy s***! maybe he can become a rapper! P diddy ft L Hammy

I agree completely. Well, almost completely. I don't like the smell of rotting flesh...

Hahah Lewis would be amazing as a rap star.

Although Mclaren have given him a competitive car in 2007 and 2008, their situation with the Stewards and Fia have left alot to be desired. For everyone that thinks Hamilton is to blame for lie-gate you only have to go back to 2007 to realize it's not the first time that Mclaren asked it's drivers to lie about rules and regulations to the governing body. IMHO I don't think Hamilton wants to leave as much as he wants Mclaren to clean up their act with the Stewards and FIA. It's hard enough to become the WDC against so many other talented drivers, but having to win against the Stewards and FIA, make his job even harder. For all the Hamilton Haters, you wanted to see what he could do in an uncompetetive car and (team management aside) He's done pretty damn well this year, much better than his team mate and much better than the 2 Ferrari drivers who have a much better car this year. So now that he's proved you wrong again, you all jump on the bandwagon that Mclaren Management had nothing to do with his lies to the Stewards.
Of course for all the Hammy Haters you will continue to hate him no matter what he does, You're in denial that he's a fantastic driver which to me is more important in an F1 driver than anything that happens off of the race course, But you would rather judge him by what the press says about him when he's off the race track.

Oh come on now we think he's going into music?

Why doesn't he just start wearing his overalls baggy as hell, having his suspension as stiff as a skateboard and don some nerdy glasses while he's at it? Perhaps he can even dye his hair a mis-guided colour like white-blonde?
