Dont believe it! stewards now looking at the overtake move. I somehow dont trust their decision making skills, specially this weekend!!

It's complete BS IMO. I can't see *why* they are investigating it...

There have been tonnes of incidents in the past where drivers have cut across corners, and the drivers that are judged to have 'gained an advantage' usually get some form of punishment. So i guess it depends on what they think of Hamilton at the Bus Stop and Raikkonen later in the lap - i'm not sure what corner that was though.

I thought Bourdais was going to be on the podium. :( Whatever atleast he got points and he was better then Vettel all weekend. I was a bit sad though that Kimi crashed tho. Well how about Heidfeld getting on the podium at the last second??

I was hoping Bourdais would get on the podium too, but he was my driver of the day. He did a great job at the start getting up to 5th and then fought off the BMW's and his own more highly rated team mate throughout the duration of the race.

How the heck did Vettel get by him tho?? Did he have wets on?

Bourdais must have made a mistake on the final lap because Alonso and Kubica got past as well as Vettel and Heidfeld.

Yeah, must have been absolutely soul-destroying for Raikkonen to be so close to getting the result he desperately needed, possibly being the best guy out there for 95% of the race, then having neither the skill nor the car to avoid hitting troubles in the rain. That's a worse way to lose his shot at the title than through a lack of motivation, to be honest.

Once again, Heidfeld has shown that his ability to score points and podiums despite not really being able to qualify consistently and BMW Sauber really should think twice about not signing a new contract with him. The move to intermediates was very good thinking, and I can't help feeling that Massa should have done the same to give him a shot at winning the race. The pace that some of the cars on intermediates showed in comparison to those on dry tyres was impressive and I'm sure if either Ferrari driver had put them on then they could at least have closed up on Lewis, though whether or not they'd have managed a passing move is something we'll never know.

I think Bourdais had a moment somewhere, or perhaps he was just being far more cautious, which is feasible because Vettel is a better driver in damp conditions.

Well I know for sure that Alonso and Heidfeld were on wets. I dont think Bou had an off moment, but maybe being too conservative like Denthul said.

quality race, i only massa had gone onto those inters at the start of the last lap, it might have turned out differently. Gutted for Kimi and Bourdais, but a thumbs up to Heidfeld, Alonso, vettel(good comeback) and obviously Hamilton

Awesome race and congrat's to Lewis for a great win and to Felipe for keeping his head on straight for a much need'd 2nd. Kimi once again lost his head and focus :nono: .

Well there is a reason that there is a inquest over Lewis/Kimi. When Kimi was in fact ahead of Lewis just before Lewis ran off, fair enough let him pass but overtook him at the first corner.

Now he got loads of momuntum from when he jumped the corner and without that he wouldnt be able to pass Kimi... :nono::thumbdown::wink:

Kimi forced him off would you rather he take him out? he gave back the position what more do you want :thumbdown::thumbdown:

It was Hamilton decision to go on the outside, Kimi had the corner and it was just a little desperate from Lewis.

I know he let him pass but the momentum he got from the corner cutting is how in the end he managed to take the lead. :knob::lurker::nono:

That makes no sense, after cutting the chicane Lewis eased off to let Kimi past, did he just stick that momentum in his pocket for a couple of seconds? Maybe they got KERS already.

He did slow, however he had the advantage of being able to slow only enough to allow Raikkonen pass, then stick on his tail through the straight and slipstream him. Now, I see that as being a fair advantage, rather than an unfair one, because he gave back the position. I don't think it says anywhere that you must give back the position and lose ground.
