I still see no evidence of Lewis not being more popular than a team. It would be refreshing if you could provide evidence that apart from twitter, more of everyone else follow a team more than they follow a star driver such as Lewis
Please 'scientifically' round off my statistics and take into consideration the whole F1 audience that is representative of all F1 fans
Otherwise can I assume this is just 'what you think' and therefore I should shut up because its not what you think
Are you purposely being obtuse? Because it would seem you are being argumentative just for the sake
of being argumentative!
My last attempt at humouring your "WoW! He's bigger than any team!" attitude:
Scientific data is collected from a cross-section of the population, in this case, it would be of F1 fans.
Because NOT all F1 fans ""tweet"", accumulating that data would not be as easily done as counting
the number of "twits" on a fan site. I am going to give you credit for being smart enough to know that.
As I don't have the resources, NOR would I imagine do you, to gather data from a FAIR representation
of the F1 audience, would be obscenely costly and I doubt anyone would really be bothered to do so!
Keep in mind the number of "non-official" websites, forums, Twitter/Facebook pages is limitless as are
the number of accounts fans can have. That would also make this sort of fact-gathering harder to monitor
than the RRA in F1!!
Your next argument might be that the sales racked up on driver/team merchandise may be an indication;
but, that would simply mean that everyone who follows F1 can afford to buy gear and paraphernalia.
I don't expect/want you to ""shut up""; but, I do believe it's more accurate to reference your comments
with phrases such as ""according to Twitter"" or ""considering the increase in sales in the luxury car
market"! You can always continue in your own self-serving fashion and "manipulative" the information
we have at our disposal to confirm/deny whatever it is you believe; but, don't expect me (notice I am
NOT generalizing) to buy into it, just because you said so.
And, yes, that's just what I think!

BTW:
As of January 18, 2014 1:15 p.m. (EST)

Difference of over 50 000 followers; but, I'm NOT now going to say that Alonso is bigger than Ferrari!!
That would be comparing apples and oranges!!
