Something interesting that I found on James Allen's blog. Part of an interview with Stefano Domenicali.

He flags up two things which will influence the racing this year; the raising of the pit lane speed limit to 100km/h, which will make pit stops faster and the freeing up of safety car rules ( you can come in when you want).

I did not know that the emboldened change was being made. Did anyone else?

I think its abit poo that the first time we see the cars is in testing.
I'd love it to go straight to a race with 100% unknowns.
Obviosusly that is never going to happen though.

Lol! imagine if they kept the rule changes secret! The cars would roll out for the first time and entire towns would be lost under a wave of vomit as tv audiences got their first look at them.
