In three years they amassed 47 points, four podiums, one win and a highest place of fourth in the WCC. Not a bad attempt, especially when you consider that building on this base the might of Jaguar Racing could only manage 49 points, two podiums and a best WCC finish of seventh in the following five years (two of which featured points for the top eight places rather than top six)...

Not bad actually. I can't recall this team even being on track though, were they these white cars? I started watching in 1998 and was quite young, so hazy memory here.

Stewart GP were shaping up to be a giant killer in terms of F1 teams and were sadly bought over by Ford, renamed Jaguar and promptly ruined. Luckily Red Bull Racing rose from the ashes.

They were white with a tartan-like stripe running down them. I quite liked the team. :)

I liked them too. :)

They were a good team, very likeable, but I preferred the Jaguar Racing Green. :)

Jaguar had a badass livery, probably the best on the grid! Their biggest mistake was putting that psycho Lauda in charge of the team.

I can't forget the fact that he actually tried DRIVING the car during a test day (saying his drivers suck in giving input!!!) and spun that sh*t twice in 1 lap....major :rolleyes::rolleyes: .

It's the only F1 car I've ever seen in the flesh.

Jaguar would have been a good team but for Ford putting in too many chiefs. Something that has always puzzled me is that they never managed to attract a really top notch driver giving the amount of cash they had at their disposal.

Yesterday Lauda said there would be no more team orders at Mercedes. Suzi Perry put that to Ros Brawn just now and asked him for his views. He smiled and said " I'm on the pitwall". Sweet. Someone should just tell Lauda to shut up. He shouldn't be saying stuff like that, he shouldn't be disagreeing with the team principal or spouting stuff that's his view and not the teams. And he certainly shouldn't be doing it in public. What wrong with him?

It baffles me why Mercedes elected to give Lauda a role in the team at all; he has always liked the sound of his own voice, flapping his lips about everything and anything!

I really wish they'd tell him to f**k off already...bloody walking disruption to Mercedes, nothing more.

Merc need to keep the development rate up, Ferrari definitely class of the field, and Lotus within striking distance. Redbull surprisingly, I still can't place them.

Who else thought Merc stuffed up when they brought both cars into the pits at the same time? Best double stacking I've seen, neither driver lost any time!

They still have silly reliability niggles to sort out though, I'm still not sure what happened to Nico?

Nico said he thinks it was the rear roll bar.

Merc still seemed to be lacking when it came to the race. Clear victory for Alonso.
