I wasn't born yet when Gilles Villeneuve was killed in that accident at Zolder 25 years ago, but if everything I've read, seen and heard about him is true, he would have been great fun to watch on the circuit as I grew up...

I was 13 and I remember the newscast of it which contained some footage. I knew who he was and that he was my counrtyman, but I didn't watch F1 partly because there was no coverage of it here, and partly because I was 13, so I didn't have any sense of his greatness until later.
