 That looks very nice. Don't want to think how much it will cost though.

The word is that it will be priced at around £1,050,000 or $1.9M US. Here are a few other pics.

That's an absolute rip off for a car with a stupid name and 'only' 700hp (compared to your Koningsegg CCXR's and such of the same price), and besides it's nothing amazingly ground breaking, it just looks like a DB9 crossed with a Ferrari 612 to me...

I think your missing the whole point of what Aston Martin is about scotty. Only 700hp? How many other 'super luxury' car's can claim that other than the McLaren SLR 722 but I consider that car more a Mercedes than a McLaren, and mentioning the CCXR as being in the same 'class' as the Aston is as far off as one can get.
Regarding the price yes it maybe too high iyo but there will only be 77 car's made for the whole world and imho that mean's exclusivity which is very important to your typical Aston buyer.
Another positive of buying an Aston is that is perceived differently. Ferraris are now seen as pretentious and as being driven by English Premier League "spice boy" footballers. Astons, however, are seen to be for the more suave person. To be honest, I've gone off Ferraris. The 355 was the last proper Ferrari they built.
The SLR 722 is half the price though, that's a hell of a difference!!
And i disagree, exclusivity doesn't seem to matter to a typical Aston buyer, cause those guys get DB9's and mainly the new Vantage - and god knows i seem to see one of them every week!
This is clearly aimed at people who have more money than sense, and are willing to fork out stupid money just to have a car that is very slightly different and exclusive, even though it stands a high chance of not being as good as the DB9 and such... kinda the same as the Lambo Reventon in that respect. Also, i'd put this in the same bracket as the Carrera GT, and that is pretty damned exclusive anyway if you ask me.
As for what Astons are 'about', they're about cruising swiftly in comfort, not insane speeds (and prices). Aston is about cars like the DB5 and the original Vantage, not something that (like i said) looks very contemporary and Ferrari 612-esque at the front, and that car is ugly... imo.
