From F1 Live:

Former double World Champion Fernando Alonso has thrown his weight behind Felipe Massa's title campaign.

The Spaniard, who last year spent a difficult year at McLaren, told his local press at the weekend: "I would prefer if Massa wins, because if he does not, Hamilton will."

27-year-old Alonso's comments were met with laughter and applause from a packed press conference in Spain.

He continued: "The truth is that it is very difficult to predict, because they are virtually tied.
If I had to bet money I would put it on Lewis, because throughout the year he was the most consistent."

I don't think he's being entirely bitter about it.
Sure he hold a grudge, but he isn't faulting Lewis there.

I don't think Lewis is in the position to say anything. He already is the Moral Champ after all.

Well for the good of the sport I really hope that Mclaren have their appeal upheld. But you're just quick enough to write off my opinion on it anyways, that there is no point expressing a view on anything sometimes.

It's always the same. McLaren can never win. McLaren builds the McLaren Technology Centre and the team get accused of having no history or passion. Ferrari, however, give their base a revamp, and it's in their tradition to modernise in order to win more races. Then, another good one, is how some say that Hamilton should have played second fiddler to Alonso in 2007. If McLaren were to have done that, then they would have been criticised for having team orders.

Well I for one ain't criticising how Mclaren operate. The fact they race without team orders is admirable.
Nor will I contest the history of the great team.
I just don't think Alonso is being a w***er saying he'd want Massa to win.
Personally this time round Id like Massa to win, but thats not anything against Mclaren. Does that make me a w***er?
*waits for replies of "yes" :P*
