I think Renault would have a far better chance if the engine freeze was lifted and more technical innovations were allowed.

i agree,

i found these 07 budget figures

Team - Budget - Cost Per Point:

Toyota - £220m ($418.5m) - £16.9m

Ferrari - £212m ($406.5m) - £1.03m

Mclaren - £210m ($402m) - £1.03m/£0.9m*

Honda - £198m ($380.5m) - £33m

BMW Sauber - £186m ($355m) - £1.8m

Renault - £170.5m ($324m) - £3.3m

Red Bull - £132m ($252m) - £5.5m

Williams - £102m ($195.5m) - £3m

Torro Rosso - £42m ($80m) - £5.3m

HA! What's Honda's problem? Spending too much time on their hybrids?

On SV's quali and prospects for the race:

"Many drivers drove today with a lot of downforce," Dennis suggested after the session. "That will not do them much good tomorrow."

Saying they have a £40m defecit to McLaren and Ferrari, they're not doing too bad. BMW Sauber have done excellently considering they are also spending less than the top two, and for Toro Rosso to be on such a low budget and win a race is superb. :)

Thing is, Vettel ran the race with a downforce level that would not have been too suitable for wet conditions, but still kept his car on-track and dominated the race. He's definitely going to be amongst the future title-contenders, joining guys like Hamilton and Kubica (and Rosberg if Williams improve their performance-level). :)

Yup, that's what he said in the interview, setup for dry - and he mastered it very well.

Obviously Kimi and Hamilton's mistakes in Q2 influenced the race greatly but I kept waiting for HK to reel Sv in... and he didn't, at all. It was a great drive!

What is happening to Heikki at Mclaren?

Indeed. I wonder. He had strong races in Japan and China last year (albeit retiring from the former because of a silly mistake, costing himself and Webber each a podium). With a stronger car, I get the feeling that he might be able to pull something special out of the bag in those two races if the conditions are similar to those here in Monza. I wonder if Toro Rosso could potentially challenge guys like Toyota and Renault with four strong races from now on? They probably wouldn't get it in the end, but they could get close if Bourdais' luck turns good :)

yes he drove away with that setup but its easier when theres no spray infront of you! saying that Heikki didnt make any inroads even when Seb V was 11 s ahead!

You could tell from his expression on the podium and during the post-race interview: very glum.

Huh? not sure what you mean with your second sentence
At any rate, HK should have been able to close in on SV despite the rain (see LH).
