I think Bernie is missing a trick by not promoting f1 for women with a race on the Saturday, the sponsorship they would attract from cosmetic company 's / fashion Co's / and cosmetic surgery, would be enormous!
The cars would not have to be as technically advanced and could average one million each , I do not think it would matter that there lap times might be 5 or 6 seconds a lap slower than the men , if the cars could be on the maximum decibels allowed , great . Would help if the women looked the part , to make the sponsors feel they were good ambassadors for there products . Susie wolf for world champion .

I have nothing against women competing in F1; but they need to be there on merit and not there to be a pretty face to attract cosmetics sponsorship. There has been women in F1 in the past but they were woefully off the pace and on most, if not all occasions did not make the starting grid (in the days of more cars than grid spots).

I think we both know that historically women have not been as quick as the men , all I was trying to do was find a medium that would attract a larger audience .

I'm not sure that women would be attracted to F1 because of cosmetics sponsorship or a female driver, I know plenty of women who like F1 and plenty more who despise F1 (and motorsport in general). I just don't think the presence of a woman in the sport will bring any new viewers, when the drivers have helmets on, they all look the same!

Hopefully Grace Autosport will be successful. Might generate more investment and interest in launching more female racers. I'm not sure that a female only F1 (Indy, Nascar, FE, LeMans etc) would generate enough fan interest to be successful long term.

Most of all, I agree with

I wouldn't be more interested just because a woman were driving!
Sure, I'd keep an eye out on how she was doing; but, not sure if I'd
be a bigger fan of F1 "just because"!
