Oh not Spa again..

So on the longest track on the calender, you expect a guy fighting for 1st place/WDC to turtle around the track while the car is rubbing the tarmac anyway....just to have the HOPE of not damaging it further.

Real pack of 'racers' we have in this forum. Who does overboost support anyway? I bet its Button or similar.

When Lewis was first out with puncture repaired his car wasn't slow. He was faster than Rosberg in fact. The car became progressively worse through the race. He may have damaged the car when he went off, could gave been the tyre, may gave been worse if he'd gone slower, longer out on it.
You can't compare his puncture to another driver's . Different initial damage? Different way the tyre reacted?
What's the point anyway? Lewis' race was ruined. He's done enough recovery drives this year to know when ones on the cards.
#420318
The damage wouldn't have been too bad but it's when the tyre started flailing is when the real damage was done. If he had driven slower it would have not caused as much damage.

Good observation nin-chin. In fact Bianchi did that very thing on the same lap as Hamilton except he had further to go having suffered his puncture on the first corner. Bianchi cleverly got his car back in one piece and drove a good race after that.

 Bianchi had a slow puncture I.e there was air in the tube, Lewis suffered de lamination, we went through all this before and to avoid a delamination with a deflated tyre would involve sub 20 mph recovery to the pits by which time he would have been lapped around 7 times

So why the attempt at mild irritation , do you thnk the facts change because you distort the truth?
#420336
Are you saying that Bianchi not only saved his car getting it back to the pits with no floor damage and according to you he also nursed a broken differential for 40 laps on the toughest track in F1 while closing in on his competition? Bianchi was amazing at Spa. To bad he wasn't in Hamilton's car, he would have battled back and won the race with that 2 sec/lap advantage!

Shame on you using a hospitalized driver in critical condition to score points.

I don't know, just like Roth he comes in once in a while, makes a few snide remarks in Hamiltons way and dissapears before another entry (perhaps when Hamilton tweets/ DNFs a race).

I find it's easier to hate one driver. Takes up a lot less time.

If I was like you and just bitched about everything except Hamilton I'd have ooh, I don't know, roughly 8,000 more posts.

For a bipolar hypocrite like you, time is definitely not a relative quantity. :hehe:

You had a pretty impressive dream team going with F2004, together you took the whole Tifosi cliche to a new panacea

You deserve matching, tag-team smileys!!

:doh::gonnagetit:

to be fair your particular brand of 'objectionivity' can be endearing once in a blue moon with its sheer venus inspired logic, whereas your buddy was like a caricature of an already dumbed down dumb arse

It must really butthurt the h8rz (overboost) that they guy they love to hate just gets on with it, while his more cerebral and therefore more capable teammate needs Mercedes to try some experimental and creative set up so he could try and come to grips with the car.

Look over there SPA!

I'm enjoying the season very much.

Nico Rosberg says he will revert to using Lewis Hamilton's set-up after admitting that Mercedes' 'creative' approach did not work during Friday's practice sessions for the Russian Grand Prix.—GPUpdate.net. The WCC is locked this weekend. Why continue with this rubbish? Let the lads sort themselves out...win on their own merit. Nico winning or even coming second now just doesn't impress me if he's gonna show up at each race meeting and use Lewis' work. Woohooo! Hammer could be WDC doing that!

I already had someone saying I resemble Rosberg, I don't need people saying I'd drive like him too. :censored:

Oh that is disappointing! Come on Nico!! Sort it out yourself! :banghead: Well he can't be coached through the race if It all goes pear shaped.
