Why do Ferrari have to turn everything into an operatic drama? What can they orchestrate that would allow Luca to leave without loosing face???

just take a leaf out of Rons book and de employerise his sorry bottom already

Who needs all this dramatic build up??? We know its a done deal, why now try and make it look like he went out fighting or some other special scuderia edition rocking horse Po0

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo could face losing his job over modest F1 results, the boss of their owner company Fiat has suggested.

"A change in the presidency is not on my agenda but everyone can be replaced," Fiat head Sergio Marichonne said at the Italian Grand Prix.

Marichonne said that while Di Montezemolo has great overall results for Ferrari as a company "you must also look at the sporting results in the case of Ferrari: We have not won in six years."

He added: "We have the best drivers in the world and it can not be that we start between seventh and 13th on the grid."

The last title of Ferrari, who have been in F1 racing since the start in the 1950s, was the Constructors' crown in 2008. The last drivers' title came a year earlier, in 2007, from Kimi Raikkonen.

Sunday's results in Monza confirmed Marichonne's fears as Ferrari slipped behind Williams into fourth place in the Constructors' standings after Fernando Alonso was stopped by a technical problem and Raikkonen came ninth.

Their last race win dates back to summer 2013 and they only have two podium finishes this year.

Di Montezemolo said Saturday he had no plans to setp down and was committed to Ferrari for three years.

"I have seen and heard a lot of rumours regarding myself and this often happens in the summer in Italy. But maybe this time is a little bit too much," he said in Monza.

"If and when there will be some news about me, I will be the first - I emphasise the first - to let you know."

Instead of the ad hominem response (which is prohibited in the rules) why dont you provide an argument that articulates why you think the post was wrong or biased or half baked. I then provide further evidence to back up each and every claim or statement contained in my post - evidence in the form of links to precendents or statements by public F1 figures.
This is the basis of civilised debate. You should try it instead of just personal insults - which is a cowardly cop out.

Ones gotta have rules, and its good when everyone sticks to these rules. I would never rubbish an idotic factually incorrect post by just insults, I would demonstrate using the above method why I think it is half baked and then give the poster a chance to expand or retract.

A bit like the time you said the hybrids were introduced as a conspiracy amongst some car makers excluding ferrari and had NOTHING to do with the environmental impact of INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES which already ran on a cheap and renewable energy source - fossil fuels and so the hybrids were a scam. Please go back a few pages in this thread to that exemplary work of fiction and take note of how the response was a civilised request for retractment or clarification from several members, - which didnt come (maybe because you then discovered that burning fossil fuels do hurt the environment and that although oil was THEORETICALLY reneawble, in practice it was running out as it became harder to extract it without irreparable damage)

lets try and make an effort to take the higher road on decency and morality ourselves before attacking others

Its the repeat tv shows on 3 channels that gives one a headache roth

on 1 channel you have a comedy that doesnt bother with research or reality :gonnagetit:

on another channel you have a comedy that spends the whole time on the couch looking up its own bottom wondering why it hurts :ky:

and on another channel you have a comedy that takes half the year to build up the courage to get the facts wrong anyway, then runs away to start the process again :gone:

Luckily these channels switch off when actual F1 is on :couchpotato:
