Fernando Alonso: “For various reasons, Friday in Monza is always a bit different to the others, with a special significance for our team in the weekend of its home race. The track characteristics also make it one of a kind: here you run with low aerodynamic downforce, you feel the car is quicker down the straights and lighter in the corners and, as was the case today, you need to try different downforce levels. In general, I’m happy with the work we did on set-up and tyres and especially with the time I did with a heavy fuel load. Tough race for us, but it was always going to be tough being a "power" track and given we are so down on power and can't change the physical ICE.

The fans were freaking awesome - highlight of the race and possibly the year ASAIC

Great drive by Dan, he is the real deal and definitely a multiple WDC candidate - hope we get him in red ASAP

Really top drive by Valteri to recover the way he did.

Say what you like about Lewis, he is an awesome driver, I so wish Merc screw him around and we somehow pick him up next year.

Back to the fans, I so wish I was there, watching them makes you feel great to consider yourself a Tifoso

At the beginning of the race, one of the announcers "jinxed" Alonso, saying he was
the only driver on the grid to score points in every race, so far, this season!!
