Well, Alonso didn't really plan (nor want) to go back to Renault, so I can understand he's not 100% happy there.

Really are you serious?

I am. Where else could he go? Toyota? Red Bull? None of the top teams were interested in him for 2008.

He left Renault a year ago, for Christ's sake. He was planing to spend some successful years in McLaren - or even stay for good. Returning to Renault? Are you really thinking he was glad to go back where he came from after just a year - and considering Renault's results in 2007..?

I would like to see from the point of view of humour, Kovalainen getting the fastest lap but missing the podium for 3 out of the 4 races so far! i hope he does get a podium he deserves one for the way he has driven so far.

My backing's with the Brits, Fisichella and BMW but my money would be on Raikkonen.

It's Finn Factor  Wasn't Kimi doing the same while he was in McLaren..?

Well maybe it is Finn-McLaren Factor...

I expect a Kimi pole to win race so all the action will be behind him. Alonso is extremely light and will pit first but i reckon hamilton will get kubica on the 1st lap and start putting pressure on massa.

Alonso is the superior tester in the current crop of drivers now that schumi has gone but whether that garnered any progress then we have to see how heavy he is

Point 1 - He said he has never made a mistake... everytime he blames his own team (or his team-mates).

Hamilton admitted he duck up last race he didnt blame the team nor has he in the past  infact he has had nothing but praise for the team, in a similar way to Schumi did with Ferrari. Something Alonso could learn, he bags Renault even now with talk of leaving. He isnt a team player!
Point 2 - I supose you have a complete control over the telemetrics of every team..., on P2 I supose all drivers get the lowest amount of fuel as possible..., and that's includes LH too... .

Lewis was running purple S2 then aborted, anyways most just put in a banker lap in Q2 and save the tyres for Q3 and the race

Well, Alonso didn't really plan (nor want) to go back to Renault, so I can understand he's not 100% happy there. And he's still probably carrying some grudge and bitterness from the last season.

But fact remains he is one of the most complete (if not THE most complete) driver packages in F1 today.

Not with that attitude of his he's not.

Attitude-shmatitude.

Do you believe Schumacher would have much different attitude if he was not alpha & omega in Ferrari..? If Irvine, Rubens, Salo, Massa... were allowed to REALLY race him? And happened to better him..?

I really don't think character of those 2 is much different. It is not making them lovable persons, but everything else...

To a certain degree. Both unlovable characters but Michael never screwed or badmouthed his team-Alonso has.

Yes, that may be correct about MS, but the only reason FA said those things were because Mclaren was screwing FA first with their blind love for LH. I would re-act as well but FA did not play the percentage game. I said it before many time, he should have kept his mouth shut and do the talking on track, because it would have been far more annoying to LH if FA was still at Mclaren. But FA is not the perfect man, however, he still is a great driver and miles ahead of LH as a driver.

Alonso is probably ahead of Hamilton as a driver, for now anyway, until Hamilton gains some experience, which is priceless. In saying that, if Alonso 'was the better all-round package', why is that Alonso failed to beat Hamilton (although he didn't fail either). At the end of the day, Alonso made a mistake in moving to McLaren, for he was never going to get preferential treatment, partly because Hamilton is McLaren's protégé, partly because it's not the McLaren way, and partly because Alonso is a little bit of a recluse, so didn't make too much of an effort to make the team warm to him. I'm still surprised how many people are defending Alonso's treatment of his teams. He caused havoc at McLaren, dissed Renault in 2006 and has been doing so in 2008. He's behaving like a spoiled brat. Comparing him to Schumacher is insane. Any complaints he may have had were kept in-house, not broadcast to every television and newspaper around.

All Formula One drivers are spoiled to an extent, just he more so than others. But he does have the talent and experience to warrant the things he wants. He'd have made a good replacement for Schumacher if team orders hadn't been banned, to be honest.

He would have been great at Ferrari, to be honest. As far as I'm concerned, however, is that a team is free to run itself as it wants. At the end of the day, a driver is an employee like anybody else at the team and it's up to the team what privileges he gets. McLaren have always had an equal opportunities policy and that was never going to change, so Alonso really should have been ready for it or not come to McLaren.

Maybe you have a short memory... can't you remember what happens on those days, when Ferrari didn't get results?... He blamed the team on each race.

The problem resides on the promisses that made Pork Dennis to Alonso before the contract, and the treatment before (can't you remember those "extra laps"?)

No I honestly cant remember him blaming the team. I can remember him saying we need to make the car faster/more reliable etc but I cant remember an outright criticism- even when it blatently was the team. (Im sticking up for him here and I never liked the guy!!!)

I can barely make sense of what you are saying. You seem to seem to be alluding to some pre-contractual agreement Alonso and Dennis hatched before the former's arrival at McLaren, but that is entirely fictitious.

And we're all proud of you for that :lol:

Another case of 'in the closet', eh? When are you coming out? Just admit it, you miss MS - and not just to be able to badmouth him, no, you genuinely miss him cuz ya luv 'm
