Spa last year was simply awesome, the engine noises bouncing around the valleys and putting every hair on me on end, Now, F1 is overshadowed by GP2 and GP3, Even the porsche supercut runs the F1 cars close for noise levels

The noise has never bothered me, especially when you can hear the sound of the crowd over the engines... seems like a better atmosphere somehow. I've attended Grands Prix under the V8 era, and the noise (for me) is secondary to the quality of racing and the atmosphere in the grandstands. But, each to their own I suppose.
first half was so exciting for us, then second half was a bag of nerves

the crowd were amazing you can't normally here that. The cars sound more throaty, less screams. I thought the Sauber sounded a bit worse than the others, I noticed that a couple of times on Saturday, it sounded sort of dull. To be honest I forgot about the noise in the excitement of the race action.

... it was great to hear the crowd noise from all round the track, like when Nico retired, the place erupted.I guess there isn't much difference between Tifosi and Hamilton fans, after all!...
