If Jenson was to be given the boot; I wouldn't oppose Kobayashi at McLaren; I doubt it will happen though! I don't think Honda specifically wants a Japanese driver and Rakuten (should the deal go through) want to spread their corporate image worldwide; so a Japanese driver probably wouldn't be on their wish list!

Really good drive from Jenson tonight. Sad it was ended through no fault of his own.

I wonder when he car issues started; was it before he dropped from fifth to tenth or after that point. He looked quite strong until after the SC period!

I thought he had a really good race , was clearly better than mag today. The only part where he seemed less good was the restart where it looked like he was getting mugged, but speaking afterwards, he said a gearbox issue started behind the safety car and it took ages to change the gear, and that's what he retired with. So not his fault. A shame McLaren got nothing for that today.

Yeah. It was hard to keep up with Jenson, I always felt he was supposed to be like 8th and it was just a strategy messing with me. But the McLaren had good pace. Unlike the Ferrari. :hehe::hehe:

Clutch I think, had difficulty changing gears for a bit then it went completely.
